Visited the Holly bush for my 42nd birthday . Recently refurbished and it was so different to the last time i visited . Lovely thatched roof , low ceilings with beams warped windows .The food was very nice , my mix grill was larger than I'd normally have and it defeated me .Only criticism I had was that the menu could have been better and it was not very vegetarian friendly

We have visited a few times and have to say what an absolutely beautiful place. Fresh, modern and classy! Very attentive staff Inc management which couldn't be anymore helpful. The Kitchen team managed to cater for my many intolerances and provide me with a 5 star meal. Looking forward to spending many sunny afternoons in the newly landscaped garden too!! As a family we will certainly be back to enjoy many more meals at this beautiful hidden gem.

Very pleased to have this much loved pub back open. The new thatch roof is quite a sight. Though I miss the oldie, worldly ambiance and although the meals were very good I did still enjoy the newly refurbished pub

Love what the new owners have done with the place. Lovingly refurbished, inside and out, the thatched roof looks amazing. Very good value food, with a great menu. Friendly staff. Would well recommend it.

What a shame 😕 . I visited here last night. I was so let down the staff are not very attentive we only just sat down and they asked us if we was very to order food no drink first it felt like we was been rushed , then when the drinks came there was no ice in the wine cooler . We ordered food .It wasn't worth the moneyThe salmon was small and dry, definitely not worth £17 😕. We then ordered a dessert we faniced cheese board, but they didn't have any but didn't tell us that until we tried to order it . I'm gutted .The only thing that was worth the money was the burger 🍔 even the fish and chips were tiny .

Superb quality food and outstanding service. The fig, goats cheese mousse and beetroot starter was fab. Recommended.

Was looking forward to a lunch out with it reopening and I wasn’t blown away sadly. The staff were friendly but rather slow in serving & then had to wait over an hour for food to come out.Once finished we waited with empty plates for 20minutes with multiple staff walking past with out clearing our plates….I got that bored of waiting I asked for the bill and we left. If the service had been better we would have spent more on pudding etc..Food wise my wife enjoyed the lamb and the burger was bland and nothing to write home about.Appreciate they have only just reopened but room for improvement here.

We were very excited to learn that this pub had reopened after lockdown. We used to love it before.Very lovely new thatched roof etc.BUT we were very disappointed with the food. Mine was a very watery , tasteless chickpea and sweet potato curry , I didn’t find any sweet potato actually and my husbands was a very beige battered tofu and chips, of which the mushy peas were the tastiest.Unfortunately I don’t think we will be returning.

Oh dear - had hoped it was the return of the old holly bushfood was OK at best with no light bites or small portions available apparently kids don't eat roast dinners!Service was poor with prices being on the high side for the quality - there's far better restaurants at the same cost level within driving distance.just disappointing overall wont bother again

Visited last night, early evening, and it was just an average visit. Was hoping for so much more, but was actually quite disappointed.Service was average, asked for table water several times, never appeared. Ordered salmon, no fondant potatoes, ended up with just mash, and for the £17 it cost for just that meal in particular, it was just so bland. The other meals were just OK.Never want to be negative, but there are so many eating places out there, when your paying what we paid last night, you have to stand out from the crowd and unfortunately it didn't.Some music would of been nice, as tables are so close together all you heard were other people's conversations.
