The Knot and Plough in Stafford

Decided to stop here on a Sunday Afternoon for some food. The premises looked really presentable. We chose a table and found it to be dirty and covered in crumbs, i brushed them off and thought nothing more of it. The food arrived and looked great, myself and my partner both opted for the burgers on the menu.However we both soon found human hair in both of our burgers! We abruptly finished the remainder of our meals and left! For a Marstons ran business I expected a lot better!

The service was much better than when we came in last year.Staff were friendly and made sure we were happy and happy with our food. The only thing that we weren’t happy with was, we were waiting for about 15-20 mins for our plates to be taken away after we’d finished eating despite staff walking passed 3 or 4 times and could see that we had finished eating

Great Carvery food was lovely & very reasonably priced. Staff very friendly and welcoming even the chef chats away happily. Finished with the cookie dough pudding the place is nice & bright & it was nice & warm just what you need on a cold day

Easy parking. Good welcome and menu. We all opted for the carvery which was well presented. 3 plate sizes and corresponding prices. My wife's small was fine, the standard was perfect for us. Everything well presented and hot. Pleased to see roast potatoes were in the serve yourself section (some carvery's serve them and usually only a couple). 2 meats - beef and ham and approx half a dozen veg. My wife reckoned the new potatoes were the best she'd had for a long time. Can't comment myself - plate full of toasties!! Pleasant staff and reasonable prices.

Had a fabulous meal with headway service is great and all the staff are friendly and always willing to help you and the puddings are amazing 😀

It’s a very pleasant place with good food and vibes around. Very clean and modern with good food that’s not expensive. Value for money with friendly staff. Just how we like it. Look forward to our return

Beef very tough ran out of gammonTurkey half an hour wait.This was about 430Staff helpfull but a bit stressed.Nice and clean environment and a very nice pub.Perhaps the wrong time to go for a carvery

Can't fault the service or the food! Staff were all friendly from the second we walked through the door. Food was lovely and very generously portioned, even from the kids menu. Small play area at the back which has toys and a small claw machine, which is also next to a baby change.

What a fabulous Christmas day meal we have just had here at The Knot and Plough. Great food, excellent service and Friendly, courteous staff. Well done to the team, it all went like clockwork. Our food was very tasty, hot and well presented. Despite being very busy, all staff were smiling and helpful. This is our 3rd Christmas meal here and we will definitely be back next year.

We were a large group, some with disabilities. The staff were attentive, friendly, helpful & went above & beyond to make our Christmas meal/party an amazing experience. Thank you to Clare, Pete, Dawn & all the other staff on that day, especially the lady behind the bar, you made this a fabulous meal. Food was fantastic too! Loved the pudding! Would recommend to everyone
