The Labour in Vain in Stafford

Great pub in a great village location now under some lovely management

Came across this pub by chance while out today. Had a delicious carvery and yummy pudding. Service was great. Staff really friendly. Good value.Sharon was lekker chatting to you about SA.

New owner is doing great, beer is lovely, place is really clean. Doing pub grub now too and its decent. Great to have a local back 👍

Friendly staff, well priced beer, looking a bit tired and in need of renovation, but pleasant pub.

Great service - ran out of Wainwright's mid evening but phoned around and got another cask in within the hour so we could carry on late into the night .... thanks John & Sharon, service above & beyond!!

Quiet local.Good pint of John Smith's on hand pump.No smooth flow, widget, cold. Just a good real pint of John Smith's.

Great to see a village pub reopen, Craig is great landlord and hope he makes it work and the pub stays open. Will be good when things get back to normal and real ale returns and hope food again.

Not a bad pub. I haven't tried their food so cannot comment on it. Service at the bar was a little slow, but their alcohol is as good as anywhere else. It had quite a quiet atmosphere, and they played a lot of classic rock. A good place to relax with some friends, but if you're looking for a bustling/party vibe, this is not the place for you.

Absolutely great pub, been to some fantastic events that have been held here. The lounge side is definitely chill however if you want a good laugh the bar is definitely for you. Don’t even get me started on how amazing the chef and his food is, will literally do anything to cater for your needs was surprised because of how fussy my sister is. But would definitely recommend.

Fantastic food! The service was a bit slow but it was very busy in there
