Great weatherspoons. In a lovely old picture house. Food is really nice and the bar staff are polite, helpful and efficient. There is two smoking areas which help and the toilets were in great condition.

A big ol place, high ceiling and a half! Friendly staff, work hard serving customers, good food...did nt try drink(booze) as I was here for breakfast Coffee was good, just like it is in all Wetherspoons. Thanks to staff who served me, and cooks that did my breakfast. Keep up the good work. Nice and clean/ tidy.

Typical Weatherspoon’s with affordable food and drink, consistent quality. And a selection of non-alcoholic drinks. It has a cinema theme. Which is really cool and sometimes they’ll put on old movies above the bar on the old cinema screen. The place floods sometimes being next door to the river, so its always closing and reopening. Their insurance must be pretty expensive at this point. Tried a lot of the food on the menu, All of it nice, but I personally avoid steak as its always chewy.

For a Wetherspoons pub this is definitely one of the better ones. The building is fantastic and have kept all of its original features. They sometime show films on the original screen at the front of the pub (it did used to be a cinema!) and at Christmas have Christmas films to watch. Drink are typically cheap and the food is as expected at a Wetherspoons (cheap, not great, not bad). Table service is available via the app. They have also now opened an upstairs balcony area at the back of the pub. If you can get a table up there it’s a great place to watch over the pub. Definitely worth a stop over if your in Stafford.

Lovely building! Looks exactly like it will have done when it was a working cinema; lovely architecture, original looking decoration and the bar was humongous! The only issue I had was their selection of single malt whiskey. It's a wetherspoons, so obviously they're not going to have loads and loads, but more than 2 would be brilliant. Such a lovely building and pub though

It’s a cool pretty cool place for a ‘spoons. The food was the same as all the others. Even thought it was busy, the speed of service was good. Just do t ask for hop house 13, they will never have it.

Great service but the app wasn't great it was very slow and wasn't clear about which drinks were included with the food. That said the staff were friendly and helpful the food was lovely and served quickly and everywhere was spotless.

Has been many years since I've been here.I tried to complete my Staffordshire Spoons tour with reviewing them all last year, but this one was closed.Today I met two Issies (Maybe Isabelle). Friendly staff that are doing a great job.I enjoyed a Guinness and a chicken wrap with chipotle for 6.20.Didn't go out to view the terrace due to the cool temperature for the time of year.

Well, what to say about this place... It's a pub, that was a cinema and they have a big screen above the bar that isn't turned on, such a waste. They've got old movie posters all over the walls. They should have some old black and white movies playing to really hit it home. But, that's just my opinion. Anyway... The pub is kinda cool with its layout. There's multiple floors, one looking down on the next. Unfortunately, if you're sitting at the top the toilets are 4 floors down and if you work there, that's a lot of stairs to keep running orders up!Unfortunately, ordering by the app is just as annoying as you'd expect. I was really looking forward to a Doom Bar, it's at the bar, it's in their menu! Is it in the app, no!! Advertise something everywhere but not available!? This is just annoying! Fix yourself up W.Spoon! The pizza was a spicy meat, which was surprisingly nice. I expected it to have been thrown in a microwave and zapped quickly before running it up 300 steps to me but it tasted fresh. Not too spicy but just the right amount of kick. Tasty and recommended.Overall not the worst Wetherspoon's on the planet but a few changes are definitely required.
