The Pie & Ale House in Stafford

Booked for a birthday meal, ordered 2 steaks to come out medium but unfortunately one was blue and the other was probably rare. Sent the back which came back well done and extremely oily as of it had been dropped on the fryer. Unfortunately very little chance of us returning

First time visiting here. It was a Friday night and there place was so quiet (it was a touch busier when we left at 8.30). Looks a bit shabby but the food was pleasant. Starters of chicken wings, haggis stack and cheesy garlic ciabatta went down well. The steaks for making were a little disappointing. A bit chewy and flavourless but the burger and sides were good. Very generous portions- didn't need the starters. Service was excellent

Excellent steak cooked as requested rare some places don't get it right(ex butcher). It was my friends 50th birthday treat we both thought the same very filling.Good service very friendly.

Arriving at 1230hrs on a Friday for a pre-booked lunch we were warmly welcomed and shown to a window table. Our drinks order was taken, and we chose ham, egg and chips for the main course, followed by ice cream for dessert; all were delicious, and the ham was exceptionally good. Abii, Front of House Manager, covered all the jobs, and was very friendly and efficient. Parking is available immediately in front of the venue. Highly recommended.

Excellent service with nothing being too much trouble. Food was delicious and good portion sizes. Menu is varied so something for everyone. The Tap house has been a great little find which will continue to frequent and recommend to others.

The Tap is an amazing Steakhouse with friendly staff and amazing food, the atmosphere here is incredible with fireplaces burning and a homely feel. The staff make you feel welcome with smiles and great service always accommodating everyone's needs!

Amazing experience here. The food was gorgeous especially the chips. So beautiful. An amazing ambience and environment for a family get together. The staff were super helpful and welcoming, really impressed with our visit and will be returning for sure. :)

We were a large party, we were looked after from the point of ordering onwards. Staff were very good. Very kind and understanding (we had small children with us). Food was delicious. Louise in particular was lovely x

Fabulous meal once again, the beef and beer pie was so good, the pastry just melted and plenty of meat inside. Good choice of drinks too. Would certainly recommend to eat here.
