Overpriced reheated food, service poor. Location and atmosphere ok.

Had a lovely evening... With friend... Just one gripe. I had a lamb roast.. Well I had to ask for more meat on the plate. I was shocked to see the amount that I had for the price than charge... They did give me a new portion.. Over wasn't to bad...

Very busy restaurant but after an initial wait of 10/15 minutes we were served drinks and our order was taken. Then the service was prompt and effective. The food was excellent and drinks were good. One or two items on the menu were a little expensive but there is something for everyone on the extensive menu's and we really enjoyed our meal.

Visited here for my Birthday yesterday with my hubby. Excellent food, drink and service as always! We ordered off the lunch menu which is great value for money.

Love the Ego , nipped in for Sunday lunch didn't book but they managed fit us in after only a short wait . We had the 2 course lunch and it was extremely good once again ,we didn't have a cocktail but they looked really nice , would highly recommend to all

My mum and I were treated to a lovely lunch for Mother’s Day by my son and his girlfriend.The food was superb, and although we expected to not be able to finish 3 courses - the portion sizes were perfect which meant we left nothing!I’d certainly go back and wouldn’t hesitate recommending Ego to anyone 💕👍💕👍💕👍

My previous visit 2 years ago was a fabulous experience however last night was a disappointment the restaurant as far as I could see generally needed a good cleaningWe were shown to a table where there were bits of food on the floor the seating was sticky.Much to my disappointment the waitress told me they had run out of the advertised steak on the menu and only had rib ribeye steak left so as I always have a steak I tried it.Boy that steak was tough I was given a large sharp serrated steak knife and still struggled to cut it there was a lot of gristle and it was very stringy it also had a bit of a strange smell to it I asked for it to be well done but it was still pink inside it.I tried my best to chew it but had to leave it the first time ever and I have had a lot of steaks.Very disappointed.

Very disappointed with my visit last night. I have been going to Ego for years and always really enjoyed it but last night was awful. Firstly they got the starter order wrong 3 times! Then the Camembert came and was cold and uncooked in the middle. My friends vegan paella main was cold. They then tried to charge us for a starter we didn’t even order. There seemed to be staff arguing by the kitchen over the mix up. Just not professional! Sadly we have all decided not to come again.

Went to ego last night for the first time, rang about 6.45pm and they got me and a friend in by 7.30pm the food was amazing the pate starter was so nice I would definitely recommend this dish.The style of the pub was lovely and the seating areas were really nice and comfy.I tried a few of the cocktails which were very nice, the lady behind the bar Sam was brilliant everything I asked her about the cocktails she knew she was very engaging and really pleasant to talk to she did an amazing job..well done ego for a lovely evening will definitely be back

The food was great. The starters were 10/10. The salmon main was amazing however the kebabs didn't hit the spot for my partner. Will definitely pay them a visit again!!
