Amazing location for walks and relaxation, good quality food, clean rooms, comfortable beds, hot powerful shower, well stocked bar, helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended for large groups wishing to mix campers in field and comfort seekers indoors.

Spent a couple of nights here for an educational conference. Really enjoyed the venue. The catering team are great, and really good at assisting people with food issues. The bedroom was lovely; simple but clean and well set out. Comfortable bed and nice bedding. The bathroom was modern, clean and well laid out. It was only on the second morning that I realised my shower had a direct, eye-level view of the approach driveway (and vice-versa)!Nice, quiet grounds. Though by the river was quite midgy after sunset.Only issue for me was the seating in the conference room and the dining area. None of it was in any way comfortable for someone who suffers with spinal issues, and I was soon in considerable pain. This won't be an issue for many people, but some of us do need high-backed chairs with head and arm support. In all a lovely venue, great staff, and worth considering for corporate or group bookings.

Perfect location for short walk to the stunning Lud's church. The walk itself had some steps sections and a nice variety, with some sections appoint a rubber and others wooded.

Just had a coffee when passing but will be back to see if there is an event hire room.An exquisite location, remote, clean and well maintained grounds. Friendly, efficient staff in the coffee hut.

Absolutely lovely place for picnics and wild swimming/paddling. Dog friendly but not pram friendly. It is a bit of a walk from the main car park so try and travel lightly and don't wear flip-flops or sliders as the path way is very gravely! Where we stopped..to the left is a very large shallow part of the river perfect for toddlers and then the bit on the photos is where we built a dam for deeper swimming. If making dams please remember to destroy them afterwards! If you travel further down the river there are even deeper parts. If not swimming then you can walk to Luds Church from here.... there are also the natural rocks to explore on the way to luds Church and a perfect place to stop with young children for an explore on the way! Just need to keep dogs on leads whilst walking through or past the cows but once past that your pooch is free to roam! WARNING - be prepared for nature as there are no toilet facilities and there are no rubbish bins so please take your rubbish back to the carpark with you where there ARE bins 😁 xx

Nice place. Got a space in the free carpark early at 6am to do a PhotoHike around Luds and The Roaches. Got back and struggled getting out of the car park as some idiot had cross parked in front.

Wonderful walk around Lud's Church and surrounding areas. Nice café and toilets at The Mill. Parking nearby is very limited though.
