Wow what a lovely place. My wife, my son and I went to Tamworth to pick up a car and we decided to treat ourselves to some pub food..We went in and the decor was nice and relaxing. It was clean and tidy. The staff were brilliant and chatty. The menu didn't overwhelm us as all the obvious favorites were there plus a few other great choices. I have never seen my son eat so much - he devoured it. We devoured ours too.We would highly recommend the Horse & Jockey.

Thank you so much for a lovely evening. Wine was nice, service was great but the mussels in white wine was fabulous. Highly recommended. Definitely be back.

Took mum for Sunday lunch for the first time since reopening today. Ordered sirloin of beef. The dinner arrived on a large plate with 4 very large slices of beef on with six roasters and parsnips. Veg came separately. They had already run out of cauliflower cheese at 3pm! The beef was did not have the look or taste of sirloin. We had to ask for steak knifes to cut through it. too many roasties which aren’t cooked enough and the gravy was not nice. Tasteless. No one came to ask us if our meals were okay either. So disappointed as food at red lion always spot on.
