Cod was exceptional. Travel 30 minutes for this supper. Brilliant

Living by the coast you expect fish & chips to be at there best, so ordering from a small area was a little bit apprehensive. But omg I was so wrong 😌 rang up which I seen was recommended told food with be ready in 10 min. Food was amazing fish was soft chips where very nice 😊 this was the best fish&chips Iv had in a very long time, would definitely recommend you try if you’re visiting or staying in the area. It’s no card payment so will need cash only.

Visited here twice in the last week. On both occasions, chips were too overcooked leaving them crispy and browny coloured. No excuse on 2nd visit as I watched them put a fresh lot in to cook which were still left in too long. On 2nd visit I also asked for Mayo on my order which staff wanted to charge me for... even though it is out on the tables for people to get for free. Left me wondering is this because they knew I am an "out of towner" ? No attempt of conversation or even a "thank you, goodbye" when I was leaving. Simply ignored my goodbye. I've had better customer service in McDonalds. Shame because you expect small businesses like this to be friendlier.

One of the best pieces of fish I've ever eaten !! 😋😋I visited Longnor Fish & Chip Shop whilst on holiday in November 2021.Both the fish and chips were cooked to order. After a few minutes talking to the lady and the gent in the shop the food was ready and together with a side of mushy peas was all wrapped up and ready for the off.Once back at the holiday cottage it was all dished up and still piping hot was absolutely delicious 😋 😋If you're in the area give it a try, you won't be disappointed 😁

Arrived just after opening and there were just 6 people queueing in front of us. An hour later we were finally served, at which time they had run out of steak pies!The chips were lovely, the fish was average.I strongly recommend anyone to call ahead with an order, that seemed to work better for those that did

Long queue which did not go down fast. Arrived when it opened and waited 1 hour 20 minutes for two portions of chips and jumbo sausage. Seem to cook per order which just doesn’t make sense when pretty much everyone wants something with CHIPS! Really missing out on business and we didn’t return on our holiday, not an apology in sight so clearly this is the speed to expect

We went down to pre order food at lunchtime. Turned up at correct time to collect and was not ready. When we did go to eat our food the small chips were larger than the large. All the portions were small and overpriced. We then rang the shop to resolve the issue and they gave excuses. Eventually we got offered a refund on just our chips. We now have a half hour drive to go and collect our only partial refund. Left hungry and disappointed.UPDATE issue was resolved but was made obvious we would not be welcome again.

Not a pleasant experience,Called today with a view to bringing other driving club members ,wont now be bothering.Ordered 2 lightly battered fish ,1 chips and gravy , and a large portion of peas,all seperate ,as we explained we were sharing.The lady serving couldnt grasp ,or didnt want to, understand .Not a friendly approach overall.Instead she insisted giving us 2 chips and fish ,in a box ,and peas . And not lightly battered as requestedThe fish didnt seem fresh appeared to be frozenish as it was as stiff as a board going into the oil .also this chippy leaves skin on one side,I dont like that personally ,others may .I gave 1* and my wife 2/3* ,hence the 2*,overall ratingOnly positive the chips were tasty ,
