The Black Horse Inn in Staffordshire Moorlands

We come here each month as a big family treat get together nothing is to much trouble lovely food good value but the staff are wonderful the waitress is a grandma herself and makes Charlie who she watched grow up from a baby feel so special we never ever think of going anywhere else now as it's all here a really lovely special pub try it you won.t be disappointed

Good food and plenty of it, I had the "Monster Burger" off the specials menu and it was EPIC! The staff were lovely and polite and we were a large party of over 20 and we were all well looked after.

The photos on the website don't do the pub any favours. The food is lovely, the steak pie was very tasty, my friend had gammon and it was huge, the sticky toffee pudding is probably the best dessert I've had in a pub. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Good variety of meals, excellent service and delicious food. Best pub meal we've had for a long time with proper home cooked chips, we will definitely be returning soon. Can't recommend enough.

Had a fabulous Christmas lunch here recently. The group included friends with mobility issues and the staff were really helpful and patient. All the meals were superb and the order was correct. Drinks were brought to the table and the lovely lady serving us even managed to get a group photograph us all, even though she was busy. There was a discrepancy with the bill, with some having two courses and some three, but it was quickly rectified. There is plenty of free parking and the place was warm and welcoming. We wouldn't hesitate to come to The Black Horse again.

Really nice food and was great to see a great vegan menu since my mum is vegan and she normally struggles to find anything. But this was great, lots of choice for her and its all homemade aswell. I had steak and ale pie and it was delicious, glad that I could have a normal menu so there was enough choice!Staff were also super friendly, definitely recommend!

Took a friend for her birthday meal, it was my first time here, the staff very friendly but not pushy, food excellent and found it reasonable price. O and there onion rings were fab!!
