The Bull's Head Inn in Staffordshire Moorlands

Went on Easter Sunday for a roast, went by chance and they had availability. Really lovely staff, roast was lovely! Decor inside is so cosy and country along with modern. They also have a stonebaked Pizza oven - we didnt have pizza, but it looked amazing when other peoples food arrived. Dogs also welcome in their large outdoor space. Really recommend.

Front of House were faultless on an evening, I'm sure they would not like a repeat of, Skye especially was attentive, courteous and apologetic. We arrived around 40mins early for our booking and more than happy to sit in the bar with drinks until our booking, seeing the chefs freshly preparing food was making us very hungry and excited for dinner. After ordering, we waited an hour and a half for food. And we wasn't the only table, the table behind got up and walked out before their food arrived. However, once the food arrived it was delicious, my soup so tasty and the crusty bread the menu boasted would have made it perfect, instead half a chopped brioche roll was slightly disappointing. After spending 16yrs in the trade myself, I had to question what happened that evening to the interim manager who was also very apologetic. I can only assume they were thrown in the deep end by higher management and left to pick up the pieces. Under normal circumstances I imagine this to be the great place recommended to us that lives up to its lovely reviews, such a shame for us on this occasion it did not.

Lovely place. Brilliant hot food. Service was quite slow taking order but food came out hot, fast and fresh. Very enjoyable and very well priced.

One of the hiden gems that I have found. Well worth a visit the food is fantastic. Very cosy place will be going back real soon

We had a family meeting with people from Minnesota and Yorkshire .we had our dinner here,the food was delicious and well presented. As for the staff very attentive without being invasive.We would highly recommend I was a chef most of my working life so I k now quality .Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful meal.

A lovely English boozer! Had a meal and a few pints with the family while visiting Alton Towers Splash Landings waterpark and hotel. The staff are exceptional and very professional. Very accommodating. I would visit here again. 😁 X

We were recommended this place by a local and I can see why! Really nice atmosphere and decor. And the food was excellent! The only downside is live so far away 😂 5*

What a find, this place will definitely become our after Alton Towers tea stop before heading home. Food was amazing and very reasonably priced for the type of food (gastro pub). The cask ale IPA they had on was very good and the décor was very quirky.Staff were very friendly but knocking down a star as there was a few instances of forgetfulness such as slightly wrong order, additional drink turning up after we'd already had the drink and having to go up to the till to pay after waiting around 10 mins after asking for the bill when we were keen to get on the road.

Booked in here after a mammoth day in Alton Towers. Location is perfect, 5 min drive from the park. No parking but street outside is quiet and we managed to find a space. We were sat in the restaurant on our own and felt a little detached from the bar where music was being played and there was a lot of atmosphere. Food was excellent and prices very fair. We would visit again but request a table in the bar.

Awesome Pub, land lord was so welcoming and nothing was a problem. We arrived early and they fitted us in for food. The food and service was excellent. We will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff.
