Lovely generous portions tasty and reasonably priced. Meals cooked to order so expect a little wait. Ploughman's on the right cajun chicken left

Just popped in to ask about the possibility of staying overnight in my motorhome. Friendly staff, superb location alongside the canal . There is now more outside seating front and at the rear of the pub. There were a few people eating meals which looked delicious. Main courses were around £12.Pub and the surroundings were lovely and clean. Large car park. The entrance is a little tight and close to two narrow canal bridges so larger vehicles need to take care. I saw a transit van entering easily, but it's not easy to see if other vehicles are coming down over the canal bridge. But I definitely recommend this pub for drinks or a meal.

Really loved coming here to eat until they ‘updated’ the menu. There were some great meals on before and they were at a good price. If you’re vegetarian/vegan and want to eat in the restaurant you only have one choice to chose from, just one which is a curry. The veg menu before was great and now disappointing.Excluding the food, the pub is very family friendly and dogs are welcome. So it has a nice atmosphere.Just with the menu change doubtful we will be visiting much anymore, shame.

Nice atmosphere and nice food. One small note we ordered some cajun loaded fries which came with a very hot sauce over them that wasn't mentioned on the menu, my wife couldn't eat it, would be a good idea to make people aware on the menu, we forgot to tell waitress. Kids enjoyed the park too. All in all a good evening.

Recently seems as though it’s changed ownership again. Tried ordering at bar where I stood for 10 minutes waiting for a menu (this pub is trying to run an online ordering system when the wifi is spotty and you can’t get cellular there). Had to snatch a menu myself as staff decided ignore me because they were sorting an order they’d incorrectly put through for previous customers. Can’t recommend here. The positive reviews are from the previous owners who served different food with better customer service.

Lovely friendly pub which is dog friendly the meal are lovely with a good choice for kids and vegetarians. Just wanted you need after a good walk. We will definitely be back to try more of your lovely food. 👍👍

Lovely location and a pretty good food and drink selection. A short wait for the freshly cooked meal to arrive which was good. For us the dog friendlyness was a big plus so will be back for a big plate full of food.

I cannot fault this place at all, we rang ahead and spoke to friendly staff and arrived just in time to order our evening meals and refreshments, the prices are more than adequate and portions just right.Food is tasty and kitchen staff again are friendly.Lovely walks along the canal after our meal then off to bed and were asleep in minutes, woke to birdsong and rain but hey its near the moors!!Would definitely return and have decided to stay again tonight and make a weekend of it 👍😊
