I have been here a few times and it’s always a great experience. Food is tasty, fresh and a good selection to choose from. Vegan/vegetarian more limited but then again it usually is however there are options available for you. Staff are always polite and service good. Dogs welcome too so you can take your furry family members with you. Would highly recommend.

We throughly enjoyed our 15 pints of lillies mango cider in the sun. After a long day hiking its exactly what we needed. Waitress was amazing and catered to all our needs.

We have been visiting the Lazy Trout now for five years and have never been disappointed! A great selection of ales and the food is out of this world. They recently hosted our wedding breakfast and were very accommodating and attentive. The day ran smoothly. The staff are fantastic and the pub well run by great staff.

Nice pub. Food served fairly quickly. Fish and chips very nice. Lovely batter. Be warned..if you aren't starving, don't order large. Next time I'll order small portion. Couldn't face desert so had ice cream, which was very nice and good quality. No wonder this place gets busy.

Wanted to try this place for a while and happened to be in the area! It's a pub! A busy, but good one at that! Plenty of outdoor seating, with a sheltered heated area that appeared to house a private party whilst we were there, but I'd imagine is open mostly for walkers or overspill (their was fire heaty things that would be warm but no doubt burn your fingers if you felt curious enough to go in).Steak and Ale Pie which is the go to test of any real country pub... Amazing! Meaty, tasty and rich! Could have eaten it again! Veg was lovely! Only gripe, but this is a greedy gripe as a 3 meal a day man, I'd have appreciated more chips (which were lovely) to fill me.Price wise, couldn't fault! Would 100% return and would also recommend to anybody! No complaints and served vegetarians well with no issues!

Not been before, staff welcoming, decent selection of beers etc. Good lunchtime menu. Large cod and chips great light batter, I ordered haddock, expecting it in batter, but was grilled in butter and fresh herbs. Superb (staff offered to swap which was decent of them, but I declined) . Proper chips (so not frozen). Good value, food great. Other items on menu looked good too. Highly recommended

arrived 1:30pm on wednesday, restaurant was almost full, good job we pre-booked a table for 5 two days ago. the meals were tasty, The fish in fish & chips served in large portion. you can also choose fish without batter. the black pudding and belly pork salad was delicious. the starter chicken wings was tasty but only served four pieces with that price, i expected at least six pieces.the jam roly-poly with custard is ok not too sweet.

Came here after doing an all day hike around the surrounding area, great beer, great quality food and good service, would recommend and would definitely come back. Hummus starter is one of the best hummus I've ever had!

Really nice pub with excellent food; the fried chicken burger was fabulous, as were the chicken liver pate and fried halloumi. The portions are large; Be prepared get stuffed. The back garden is large and looks over rolling hills.
