Amazing country location. Room excellent and very spacious. Breakfast very good.Evening meal a total let down I had the steak pie mash and fried mushrooms all over cooked .Partner had chicken curry extremely dry asked for more curry sauce to make it edible. Spoke to management this morning asking if she had ever eaten meals here there was no reply?Had a excellent meal at CARRIAGES Newhaven behind the Garage 8 minutes from here.

Service is brilliant.Found the food overpriced for how much you get, and not sure what's gone on with the chips with no potatoe inside.Cask ales are always spot on.So overall great drinkers pub but need sort value for money on food.

I adore this place and go every time I am staying at the neighbouring campsite. The beer selection and food is top notch and the barstaff and front of house staff are friendly and welcoming. Plus, with a beer garden out front, it's a wonderful place to just people watch and watch the world go by.

Lovely pub and great food with great service.I imagine it's especially useful for people using the camping site opposite, as they offer campers' breakfasts I believe.Outside seating and conservatory make it bigger than what you imagine from the outside - and plenty of parking round the back.If you end up going here make sure you're going for food as well as a drink as it's lovely!

We didn’t stay in a room but took up the offer of a Campers Breakfast this morning. The Breakfast was ok but I wouldn’t say it’s good value for money, the full English didn’t pull up any trees if I’m honest and it wasn’t served with any sauces or side plates for the toast.There are better breakfasts available close by but for a quick run of the mill breakfast across the road, it was OK.

We just returned from 2 nights at The Manifold Inn and we had a fantastic time. The room (5) was lovely, the bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and modern. We had some really great food at both breakfast and dinner, my highlights were the rib eye steak and sticky toffee pudding. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and although we used a buy a gift voucher, we were still treated the same as everyone else! Well done to all, we shall be returning 👏 😀

Friendly, busy pub. Dogs welcome in the bar, plus lots of seating outside. Restaurant needs to be booked in advance, as already full in March. Steak pie is excellent! Friends had vegetarian Tai curry, also very good. Wainwright bitter excellent. Recommended.

Our stay here was lovely. We had three nights in the Innkeepers Cottage. The place was spotless, warm and comfortable and kitted out with everything you would need if you chose to self cater. The pub food was delicious with a great selection of excellent beers and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We would love to visit this great place in its beautiful setting again soon.

We recently stayed here for a short holiday and had a really nice time. The family room was lovely and local area very picturesque. The staff at the pub were friendly.Only small point is that we had to buy our own soya milk (for a dairy intolerance) and the menu wasn’t hugely adaptable for gluten free options.That said we did really enjoy our time in the area and our stay at the pub.

Booked a table some time ago at what looked to be a lovely pub. When we arrived we were told the only tables that where available where in the conservatory. Food overpriced for what it was and limited availability when we visited. Full of campers / tourists with dogs in the back room / conservatory. Seemed to be all locals in the bar which looked a lot more appealing. Disappointing. Will not be returning.
