Will give 4 stars because we waited an hour for our meal. They did give all our drinks and appetizer for free which was great. The staff would not stop apologising. Free dessert was offered as well but was refused because we were all stuffed from eating. The meal was amazingly great!. Would go back . Thanks for the great service!!

We came here for a family tea my son had the children's pizza which was excellent value for money he picked it to come with chips and veggie sticks the only problem was the veg had gone soggy so he didn't eat it but he had plenty with his pizza and triple cooked chips. My husband had the burger which he loved and I had the pie which came with vegetables these were all really fresh and cooked well my only gripe was the pie was only a pie lid and not a proper pie. We all had dessert too 😋 my husband had the flower pot pudding which looked amazing he said it was nice but lacked in flavour. However I had the banoffee which looked and tasted amazing. All in all a lovely meal lovely friendly staff and we will definitely be returning.

Such a shame for a lovely pub with friendly staff! But weve been this afternoon with my daughter the child's meal was inedible apart from the fries which didn't look all to appealing... Child burger bun rock hard as was the burger. I had fish sandwich the bread again was to hard to eat and fries where cold. Nobody checked back so we ate eat was edible and left. Food used to be lovely it's a shame.

Came for a meal on Sunday evening and you can tell that the Sunday lunch service really takes it out of them.Numerous items were missing off the menu, we were allowed to order food but were then informed a short while later that it was in fact not available. The wait for our main courses was over an hour and half, then the food still came cold and incorrect (ordered fries, came with chips)Although, when we informed the manager of all this she couldn't do enough to make it better, so kudos for that. All round not a good showing, sorry guys!

From the moment we arrived for lunch today (16th march) we were greeted by friendly attentive staff. We were warned that food might take a little longer than normal as they were a chef down, but we didn't really notice any delay. Food was all excellent, staff always around asking if everything was ok, or if we needed another drink. (But not in an intrusive way)Overall a lovely place for lunch and based on our experience today, highly recommended.

Interior massively improved since my last visit. However food standard seems to have fallen. We had undercooked chips that took an age to be replaced, and the second batch were also partially undercooked. I had calamari that was mediocre at best. Love the venue but won't be rushing back anytime soon.

Booked meal for 8 on boxing evening at 6. After 15 minutes took drinks order. It was another 15 minutes before it arrived, incorrect. It was rectified. We had to ask twice for our order to be taken, which took another 20 minutes. Our first course finally arrived which was OK,but expected more than 2 wafer thin finger slices of bread. The pate was lovely but would have appreciated a garnish too..Our main course was 20 minutes later delivered and was quite good, steak tasty, but again needed garnish, especially having to pay a £4supplement.the pork was nice but for the price would have expected some kind of garnishWe again had to ask twice for another round of drinks. The puddings were nice and tasty, especially the apple pie and brownieI understand that you may have been short staffed, we even had to ask for the table to be decorated as the others were. Yes bit picky l know, but we were so looking forward to our meal together.

Worst experience I've had in a restaurant. 1hr and 30 minute wait for this £18 meal. This picture looks like 1/2 has been eaten but it was untouched sent back and I left hungry

Came for lunch with my wife, the meal was lovely, had the house burger and the fish. Very enjoyable, been before and will go again.
