The Tea Junction in Staffordshire Moorlands

I have given this 3 stars purely because the cakes looked nice. However, we walked in on Saturday to purchase a bottle of water at the start of our walk to Thor's Cave. We hadn't walked there before and asked the young girl at the counter how far away the cave was. She bluntly said "There's a map on the wall behind you" not even with a smile to say that the map would show how far away it was. We were going to stop there again on the way back for a pot of tea and a slice of cake but we decided to stop at Wetton Mill Tearoom instead. The staff at Wetton Mill were lovely.

Stopped in for a cuppa and cake after searching Google. Really pleased that we did, really nice Victoria sponge and a fruit sconce was washed down with a cracking cup of tea. Very well organised with some nice goodies to buy should you feel the need. I don't think that you would be disappointed if you dropped in too.

We go here when we take the dogs for a walk here. It has developed over the years and now is a spacious tea room serving good quality, simple food and good range of hot drinks. It is dog friendly too.

·

Pleasant tea room with internal and external seating. Hot and cold snacks and an excellent range of cake. In a new building that is a replica of the narrow-gauge engine shed that was there before. Also good parking and starting point for a walk along the disused railway to the next cafe at Wetton mill.
