Stayed here this weekend. Lovely villagelocation, staff were fab especially at breakfast, room was spacious and breakfast was five star fantastic. Sadly the noise being above a pub was a bit loud so we never managed to nod off until after last orders. The room was a bit tired in bathroom but ok. Bed was comfortable and it had a long bath. We would have loved to try the Thai since it's our favourite but kids are too fussy to try so we ate elsewhere.

Excellent. Brilliant food, great service, friendly waiters, free WiFi and best of all free sanitary products in the bathrooms. Absolute lifesaver sometimes. New owners are doing amazing, the pub looks great, and changing the carpets to flat floors to make easier wheelchair access is very considerate. 5/5

Stayed 2 nightsOnly one cheap toilet paper and 2 almost finished rolls. In the middle of the night, I had to go down to the publics toilets and get a few rolls.They didn't cleaned the room, so no clean towels.Waiter/manager picked up a fried tomato with his fingers, cause it had been put on the wrong platewrong plated tree

Very freindly and helful staff,food very good although it just Thai ,Parking space but very tight.This is a community run place.looking to go back later.

An absolutely lovely little country pub nestled in the heart of Staffordshire set in the Shadows of Alton Castle.This pub serves what I can only describe as as the best Thai food available. Freshly cooked to order to suit your tastes requirements. It's important 2 book in advance the dining experience. I believe at the moment that it's only from Thursday Friday Saturday that Bennie cooks.The pub itself is clean and welcoming with friendly staff. Prices within are reasonable compare two local pub prices. And the prices for meals are set at Great value.There are is also accommodation available. Whether you're visiting Alton Towers or rambling within the local Peak District.I'm looking forward to booking in again, if I could I would rate this more than the five stars that it's allowing me to do.

Highly recommend staying in this lovely idyllic pub, we immediately felt at home. Fantastic communication & the minute we walked in we wished we were there for longer! Safe and secure parking, clean and spacious rooms and a fantastic breakfast!We will definitely be staying again! :-)

We only had 2 days here but they were wonderful. The people we met were so lovely and friendly. John one of the directors of The White Hart spent quite sometime chatting with us and bought us a drink. The atmosphere was so relaxed and friendly this is a community run business. Our room was really comfortable and clean with coffee and tea provided. Very quiet at night so we had good night's sleep. The breakfast was amazing I couldn't quite finish all mine.
