We are situated on the edge of the Staffordshire Moorlands countryside with plenty of scenic walking routes and idyllic beauty spots such as Knypersley Reservoir a stone's throw away. The Premises has undergone significant renovation over the last 3 years while under the new ownership to bring it up to date and modernisation continues to offer our customers the best possible dining experience. I booked a table for 17, including 9 children aged 10 and under, for Sunday dinner. Great communication with The Top Pub team before and we were made to feel so welcome. Food delicious and good child friendly options. Thank you!

Fabulous mothers day meal.Waiting staff really attentive and the roast beef was delicious 😋One of party said the sticky toffee pudding dessert was the best dessert he ever had!Huge thanks, we will definitely come again.

We went here for dinner today. From booking over the phone to leaving after our meal everything was spot on. In particular a girl named Sue was fantastic and really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her. I had a T-bone steak and it was the best t-bone I’ve had so far in all of the places we’ve eaten 👌🏼 Thank you all!

Thank you to everyone at the top pub for looking after us last night. Absolutely fantastic evening. Food was simply delicious and they even catered for our grandchildren who have food allergies. Atmosphere was super. Made our 40th wedding anniversary extra special with family and friends. Thank you❤

The food was delicious and a good size, we couldn't even squeeze in a dessert! The waitress was lovely and polite, and even offered to provide a bowl of water for our dog. The fire was lit when we arrived which made the place cosy and warm. I highly recommend a visit!

We called and booked ahead on recommendation for the bank holiday monday eat out to help out. It was our first meal out since the lockdown so we were unsure what to expect. We were seated at our table in the marquee. Tables were spaced appropriately and I was very happy in the marquee as the room was airy which made us feel more comfortable. I had steak and my partner had fish and chips. The food was delicious, great portions, came in a timely manner and service with a smile. I would highly recommend anyone to visit here.Also I highly commend the manager on shift. Rules are in place with number of people on tables to keep us all safe and It was nice to see these rules being broken not being tolerated. This for me gives you bonus points!!!

Took my mother in law for lunch yesterday (Saturday). Really nice inside, fantastic food, we had lasagne, followed by cheescake. It was £7.50 for two courses! It was really busy too, which says a lot. Lovely staff. We will definitely be back.
