Absolutely lovely tapas! Not at all what I expected from a local out of village pub, but the food was really interesting and delicious! Lovely local vibes, really great amazing food worth a visit if you can book in for food!

So I was scared after visiting inside this pub no drinks or bottles on show only us in there not been cleaned or renovated since 1960 no music not chat from landlord it was silent cold and dirty. Can’t believe this place is still going felt so sorry for them and wanted to have a drink to help them surviveMaybe better in the summer when you don’t have to sit inside

A great pint or two ✌️🍻 in a fantastic little older world pub with real character. Especially after a long walk.

Rudest pub I’ve ever been in. Went in after a walk (we always support local businesses and go walking weekly in the peak district) I was met by ‘ and who is it I’m even speaking to’ by a rude woman behind the bar. I was only asking if dogs were allowed in before actually entering and parking up. She then said ‘ you won’t be coming in without a mask’ currently not government rules , however as an nhs medic I had plenty in my car anyway. I would have happily gone to get one if the woman had not been so rude. No customer service skills, clearly a local pub and only local people in the village welcome. Looked absolutely filthy anyway. Went to a lovely pub outside of Buxton with no issues . Avoid this place, clearly they don’t want the business . Ruined a good day out hiking with the woman’s poor attitude and rudeness

Watt a lovely traditional ye olde world pub .. off the beaten track quiet and secluded .. well worth it the draught beer is superb a well earned husband pint after a long walk .. OK so it's not to everyone's cup of tea but once you get talking to the landlord and landlady they're lovely (ok I can talk twodle after a bitter shandy 😄 which was rather nice I may add) .. support local traditional businesses people .. one day you'll look back and wonder where are all the good pubs have gone .. the true art of real ale and great conversation will be lost in searching for perfection safest wishes Mr & Mrs Land People of the Watts Russell and thank you for a lovely warming hour at your establishment

Excellent little pub, friendly and welcoming owners, great selection of drinks, lovely wood burning fires.

·

Best pint of beer I've had recently - Thornbridge AM/PM, fresh as a daisy.

One of my absolute favourite places. Stunning location, gorgeous and soul filling food. The terrace with fire pits and often live music is a great way to spend an evening. Inside is also cosy and warm so perfect for both a summers day and a cold winter.

Excellent tapas! Never had better pub food anywhere else. Proper high end quality, and a good variety of choice. I really recommend the food!! They also often use their home grown produce.Lovely old pub in the most beautiful landscape. Nice beers on tap (Jaipur!) and plenty of outside spaces in a terraced garden. Really lovely.

Good little pub - well worth a visit. Honest food - excellent wraps. Pretty terraced beer garden with a range of real ale and cider.
