Tepid welcome, no food available after 7.30 on Friday.! Extremely limited drinks selection. Very tired ambiance. This place needs an urgent overhaul if it’s going to survive. Such a shame, it’s the only pub still going in the village.

We really enjoyed our lunch at the pub by the fire this afternoon. Emma and her mum,Jill, were terrific about accommodating my food allergy and provided excellent service. The portions were plentiful and the food delicious. The fish finger sandwich was accompanied by a lovely side salad. We had a huge order of chips on the side.

Nice place but slow service and were out of two main beers (delivery coming soon but doesn't help)Was slow when in before, but staff seem really nice.Outdoor space was okay, although a bit splintery. Will go again and see if beer and ale selection improves and then review stars.

Out for a circular walk around Longnor. Came across the pub and was delighted to see that they allowed '4 legged friends '. I had one if the best steak and ale pies I had had in ages a a great pint of IPA. Staff very welcoming.

This run down pub offers a limited range of beers and wines and our meal was inedible. I hate to give a bad review but I can’t remember a worse meal

Nice little pub, decent food and good beer

Clearly caught it on a bad weekend as previous reviews generally positive.Had a meal on Friday evening which was OK,basic, but acceptable, tasty after the drive up.Staff most welcoming.Hells lager and a real ale ran out couple of hours in.Lovely open fires.Next day returned and only beer Carling and one ale available.Sunday evening returned,no draft beer only bottles so didn't stay.Pub appeared rudderless over the weekend, felt sorry for staff who were clearly embarrassed, trying their best, but if you have no beer in a pub bit stuck really!!Only pub in the village, hopefully it survives, community needs it..I will certainly return as the 2 draft ales that were initially available were great and staff lovely.

Absolutely shocking...we ordered the plaice, it came with veg and new potatoes, it was like it'd all been boiled together in a pot of stale water...sloppy, tasteless, no seasoning, veg looked and tasted like rubber. Staff never asked if all ok and when they cleared away our virtually untouched plates still never asked despite clearly knowing there was an issue. The place itself is so run down, broken door, broken pane of glass with dingy cardboard taped over, scratched glassware, filthy carpet, decor fallen off walls leaving globs of no nails to look at instead. No ice..this didn't even seem an issue to them! Country pubs are usually little gems, this is by far the worst place I've ever been. AVOID and don't waste your money

Barperson Tina was fabulous with a warm welcome but food was abysmal. Either oven warmed or microwaved to death in colours of white and orange ( I had a starter with potatoes and veg ) . No green on my plate. Minimalist menu . Both veggie dishes not available. If you have £44 to spare for 2 meals and 4 drinks , go else where. Equally pub was freezing despite one fire which was clearly inadequate. Not impressed

Fantastic pub in a great location. The staff are so kind and accommodating and the fire made it the perfect spot for a post walk pint. Thank you for being so wonderful!
