Amazing olde worlde pub. Lots of character. Trinkets galore and strange folk music band quietly playing on one night I was there (not the type you hear on the radio) highly recommended π»

To say this place is unique is an understatement.... From the moment you step inside, the experience is one you will never forget... But don't just take my word for it, make the effort to pay a visit and see for yourself... I guarantee you will not be disappointed...

Great pub full of interesting artifacts and amazing seating. We had pie and mash which was well cooked and a good price. Fabulous old fashioned pub. Highly recommended.

Yew tree is a great quirky pub full of easy warmth and curios. We'll worth a visit. Dan and the staff are great hosts, though l was worried where Colin the tortoise was during the quizz...

Best pub by far! Good honest food- Steak and kidney pie, veggie sausages, peas, mash and gravy all delicious. Lots of themed events-1940s weekend, Yew Tree Music Festival, acoustic night, quiz nights. Definitely recommend π

Walked to pub from Crow trees caravan /motor home park. Great pub, good food and real ale. The interior of the pub as never changed in hundreds of years and well worth a visit to experience it's surroundings, its full of antiques and history. Walkers and dogs are welcomed by the friendly and pleasant owners and bar staff. Simply a great traditional pubπ

Fabulously unique venue. This pub is filled to bursting with antiques and collectibles, from vintage motorbikes to working music boxes, from familiar grandfather clocks and church pews to peculiar instruments I didn't even know existed and piston driven beer pump brass taps...actual taps! The adjoining grounds, beautifully landscaped, has its own fully fitted bar and catering hut, a marquee with an interior styled with antique charm, space for games, displays and even a repurposed trailer and oversized Anderson-type shelter for live music events and big screen AV.This place is a beautiful juxtaposition, a contradiction of itself in every way. From the vegetarian landlord serving the best local butcher's pies and homemade scratchings to the grade 2 listed historic building with the most well equipped event grounds for miles. This place is situated in the shadow of an operational quarry, with signs of heavy industry all around, yet connects to it's other side entwined with spectacular Moorlands countryside trails.Like a crossing point between all things incompatible in the real world, here it just works....even when it doesn't....it's hard to explain...You will sit on antique furniture with a trendy new gin, chatting with an old farmer bemoaning rural broadband connectivity and a young creative, drinking best bitter from his own personal tankard that is kept behind the bar with his name on....Words cannot do justice. The Yew Tree is an experience as much as a place. Weird and wonderful, full of life at a slower pace. Whatever it is today, it will be different tomorrow and yet somehow will never change. You will either get this place or miss the point entirely but you will certainly never forget your visit.True vintage modern in all its glory.

Around 13 of us turned up unannounced on a rainy Sunday for food and drinks.Atmosphere of this pub is amazing, really traditional pub (not many left) the staff are friendly and dogs are allowed which is great for the location. We took it upon ourselves to sit in the beer tent set up for the mini festival just gone to which the landlord kindly allowed. He was also happy to serve us drinks from the German beer menu which wasn't actually running that day. After we got a bit rowdy (13 half cut blokes left to it) I think it was really accommodating of the landlord to provide us with some traditional games to which we obliged (kept us well put of trouble)Great visit

Old historic pub. Typical small and dark. But interesting with its old pieces of furniture, bikes, radios. Friendly staff and friendly dog. Very causal. Had a quick drink and went. Definitely worth a visit.
