Lovely hotel with all the basics. Bed small but comfortable enough. Pool and bubble pool was lovely and refreshing but feel its a bit annoying that hotel guests are charged extra to use it. Facilities are nice but dated. Rusty lockers and old fixtures n fittings make it feel a bit dated. Staff were friendly though. Sadly Hanley not got much to offer these days lots of shops have closed down but found a cute Sunday crafts Market to wandering around and of course a cafe with Staffordshire Oatcakesš

Shocking! Booked to stay for a night & couldnāt even stay the night. Ended up leaving after 2 hours and going to the Hilton. Room was not clean. 3 broken plug sockets, shower full of hair. Broken toilet seat, horrible wax/mould around the toilet. A hairdryer that is attached to the wall but the plug doesnāt reach the socket. Windows dirty, horrendous amount of dust built up around it. The place was just a mess. I couldnāt believe I was in a āhotelā

My room I was given had someone else already staying in it, luckily they weren't in the room but I did walk in to see someone's clothes on the bed and the TV on. Scary to think of what could happen if they were there, or the thought of someone able to walk into your room like that.Staff didn't seem too apologetic so I'm not sure if this is a common occurrence.Breakfast was good.

Stayed here during a 2 day trip to Alton Towers. We had booked a twin room and a family room. The twin room we were given was already occupied and the family room hadnāt been cleaned with unmade beds with dirty sheets and towels and rubbish everywhere. Reception admitted they had given us the wrong number for the twin room and quickly gave us the right one, I am a bit concerned that this could happen! One of the reception staff then went to clean and make the beds in the family room as housekeeping had gone home. We were given 2 complimentary drinks each as an apology!I am not convinced the sheets were actually changed and we never received replacement towels despite asking. Also the bed settee was broken with one of the slats missing and the others loose and kept falling off!The breakfast was the only positive thing about our stay and I am pleased we were only staying for one night!

So, where do I start. The rooms are OK, needs renovating for the price we pay.I stayed here for work and coming back to the hotel every day was a nightmare.I would go to the room and the key card will never work. I always make sure I don't keep my room card with my phone and away from other devices.I would then walk down three flight of stairs to the reception to reset my card.It is the last thing you want to do straight from work. The receptionist told me they do this for "security reasons" but I go to Raddison's and Hilton's and I don't have that same issue????The beds are not the most comfertable to be honest.... I have slept in a premier inn with beds better.

What a lovely comfortable night we had! The staff are so friendly and helpful too. The breakfast was lovely and it was buffet style so for your money it is unlimited. I'd recommend this hotel for a city centre break, easy access to all things Potteries.

Reception staff was fantastic very helpful and friendly, the bar area was nice and had a good variety of drinks.Sadly the rooms in the original part of the building were very badly maintained, mouldy windows, chipped and rusty bath, worn out carpets and creaking noisy floors everywhere, definitely not worth what was paid, there's budget hotels, then there's budget never to stay again hotels, and this was one of them. You have to pay extra for parking £7.50 out front, or £3.30 for 24 hrs 2 min walk away, the use of the pool was an extra £5.00. Save your money, and a sleepless night book elsewhere.

Neighborhood seemed a bit off. Hotel building is a cool building but it didnāt seem like the interior was well maintained. We got a suite, we were excited. But disappointed once we entered. The couch was very derelict. The bedding was stained. The bathroom floor was dangerously slippery. My husband couldnāt stand up in the shower because it was so slippery when wet. The bed was not very comfortable. This hotel has potential. Just didnāt do it for us.

Being charged for parking £7.50 per day and charged £20 for wanting my room that I was told that was ready but if I want to check in 2hrs early I am charged £10 for every hour I was early... Joke of a hotelStayed in a few hotels in stoke and this has got to be the worse, plenty of other hotels who are happy for you to check in early without charge and no charging fee for parking! However bedroom was nice

I arrived on a Sunday night to be told, there was no food available. As a single woman travelling alone, I had to wander the not very pleasant streets of Stoke late at night to find dinner. This 'no food' fact is not mentioned on the website or when booking. Tiny double room. TV on the side wall to the bed instead of in front of it, giving a major neck crick when watching. And no hot water in the morning. Never ever again!
