Lovely pub with a great selection of beer. Was very busy when I was there on a Thursday evening.

We have today tried the Sunday Carvery. I must say best carvery I have ever had. Food was all Excellent, meat and vegetables cooked to perfection. Lovely spacious dining area with views of the surrounding countryside. Staff were very polite, professional and friendly. In all it would be a 10/10. We will certainly be returning and highly recommend to others. Thank you fox & Goose and well done.

Lovely countryside pub with great views.Popped in on the off chance of getting a Sunday lunch and we were accommodated very quickly and efficiently. Had a beautiful carvery,very generous portions with a great selection of vegetables at a very reasonable price.2 adult plates, 2 pints of real ale,all for £25!!!!..Friendly service,we will definitely be visiting again very soon!!!!

What an absolutely beautiful country pub warm welcoming bar staff. We went for a meal with friends and will truly be visiting again.Food was cooked to perfection service was first class.Beverages purchased at the bar and bought to the table was better than expected.Following our meal we relocated and sat in the front of the pub near to an open fire recommended for these cold winter nights.We met with the publican Anthony again friendly and willilling to share information on the local area, tips on areas to visit for fun or nice local walks.This is a truly welcoming gem of a pub if you're visiting the surrounding areas it's a must. Ideal for family meals after visiting froghall steam railway or the local peak Wildlife Park and Alton towers or a walk in the. Peak District such as Dovedale or the Roaches.See you again soon.

Lovely hot meal, plenty of fresh vegetableschoice from the carvery, with three meats on offer. Atmosphere in the bar was friendly and cosy in front of an open fire, wonderful on a chilly day.

Brilliant! We've been in the area several times but I hadn't realised there was a pub at Foxt. The Fox & Goose had mostly great reviews recently, so we found our way there down single track lanes from where we were staying locally. It is definitely worth the effort to find this pub!!Nice welcome, cracking food. It was steak night and that looked tempting but we went for pub standards, fish & chips & scampi & chips. Pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord and a coke.Really nice dining room with views far & wide. Good friendly service, nice beer and when the food arrived, big portions!!!!We had a lovely meal and steadily worked our way through the really great food, hot, tasty and plenty of it!!We were both Impressed and would definitely, definitely come here again when in the area. Worth a try and five stars for us!!! I'd be happy for this pub to be my local, to be honest!!!

Had a wonderful meal here. Staff was exceptionally friendly and lovely and for was locally sourced and very good, especially for that price! Will definitely come again!
