Hungry Horse - Weathervane in Stoke-on-Trent

Visited on Monday 9 May. We ordered three Steak Sizzlers which were excellent . As an bonus it was 'Steak Monday' and so the the price was reduced. I have used the place before and you get great quality and quantity, but this steak was amazing value. Thanks to Jess M for doing a great job.

We stayed here the night as we'd been given a voucher as a gift The room was clean, well equipped and comfortable although a little too warm. We had an evening meal which was tasty and a very good price. Breakfast was very good too and the service throughout could not be faulted.

Really good food for a mass chain pub. Good, quick service via the app. Pleasantly surprised 👍

2021. Very covid aware. Using the app to order was not easy to use for the first time. Think it was us, not the app.Went last week. Meals were £5.00 each. Cant go wrong.Updated 14 Feb 22. Solid breakfast and bargin price. Can't go wrong.March 22. Went for lunch. Polite staff and another excellent meal. Sunday lunch burger was absolutely delicious with a wide range of flavours and tastes. Well recommended. Nice to have roast potatoes instead of chips. Yummy gravy. Hunters chicken didn't disappoint either. Will definitely go back. Service was also quick considering it was busy.

Decor is cheap and cheerful, food is simple. Very few vegetarian options. My burger came in a green bun. Not a fan of the colour. And they had no guacamole or hummus. Still, the food was tasty enough and it's not expensive. Draught Greene King beer is a plus.

Food great as always, staff so friendly and happy to accommodate you.

Went hear today and ordered chicken New Yorker and it was served quickly but the chicken was not cooked properly. Sent it back and another came back a little bit more cooked. Not at all happy with this service.The picture below is of the chicken which was not eaten from my plate. 🤮🤮

Update went for Breakfast 2022 FebService was great . Friendly staff. Good prices. Massive breakfast. Young lady was very helpful with coffees and went the extra mile . Yes very reasonable prices . Service is now at the bar instead of the app. Thank goodness. Need a bit of TLC as some of the seats were ripped or worn out.Yes definitely got back. Some of the cars in the car park need to realise they don’t need to take two spaces . 4 stars ⭐️year ago review 2021 .You get what you pay for. Cheap and cheerful. Hard to get use to the app to order drinks and food but when you get use to its fine . Took me 20 minutes first time and no one came to help . Need patience. Food ok. Good idea with the television to entertain children but can also be an distraction. Not all tables have TV booths . Menu for children great . Some great offers on different days. Big car park. Been for breakfasts . Not bad at all for prices . Need to book .3 stars

Lovely little hotel with some of the friendliest staff around, both me and my mum stayed for a trip to Alton Towers, this place is the perfect base and I will absolutely be back in the future.Positives: Great Location, Clean Rooms, Awesome Breakfast, Friendly Staff, Comfy Beds and it is next to a Tesco and McDonald’s.Negatives: Dated Rooms…however for the price you are paying perfectly acceptable.No Lift - so if your booking as a disabled or infirm person in anyway Be sure to let the hotel know so they can accommodate you.Finally to end on a positive the hotel was kind enough to charge my mobility scooter overnight which was an absolute lifesaver the following day! Thank You!

Great pub and restaurant serving traditional pub favourites. The hotel was nice although a little dated and could do with a revamp but very good all the same.
