Food absolutely awful, when they give you a description on the menu and said pate arrives with Normal bread a tiny slice of pate when the old people were there the food was amazing so disappointed, drinks OK,won't be back and wouldn't recommend.

Visited the butcher's for the 1st time for a couple of drinks and we'll definitely be back . It's so different to any other pub around they made an excellent job , wood and tiles everywhere .Will be back for food without a doubt for a more in depth review

Went here after seeing offer on Facebook two courses for £13.Apparently this was way out of dateI would have expected something to make up for disappointment. All we got was sorry.Nothing else.No one asked if all was ok?Yorkshire pudding was more like a pancakeMeat lovely.Veg. Ok. Nothing special. Will we go again probably not. This is false advertising. And we are thinking of forwarding to trading standards. All in all a huge disappointment. With this industry being so competitive now being let down like this is not acceptable.

Up there with one of the best pubs I've been too. The atmosphere is great every time, especially when the log burner is lit. Joules beer is fantastic. Sometimes a bit of a wait on food, but when it arrives, it's really good. Wish they offered perhaps daily food specials on the weekends, outside of the menu. But anyway, amazing pub! Highly recommended!

Pub has recently changed hands. Open early Saturdays and Sundays 10am for breakfast which we have been to every week now and it's been lovely. Even took the dog as they're allowed inside the pub.

Just been for lunch and the temperature in there was cool. We had taphouse treats including the cauli and broccoli bites. Cauli chunks were too big! Have come home for a warm!

Fantastic food that everyone enjoyed all different meals off the menu.Great atmosphere and a perfect venue for my brothers 30th birthday meal for 13 of us.Keep up what your doing Matt you won’t go wrong.Cheers Adam.

One of the pubs belonging to Joule's Brewery, with a good selection of their own, and guest ales, ciders, spirits etc. Also serving food. With an outdoor area for eating and drinking.

·

Excellent evening! Lovely lively atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonably priced drinks. Will definitely go back for a meal some time soon.

Been in here twice now since November to try it since new manager has it. It's too expensive for what it serves up and the staff aren't very sincere. I tried complaining but got fobbed off. Won't bother going again felt like I'd have got better food at a Toby carvery for half the price. Rip off. Nice location gets the two stars but nothing else
