The Furlong Tavern in Stoke-on-Trent

Service was absolutely impeccable and the food was absolutely outstanding would highly highly recommend definitely coming back! Make you feel so welcome and the staff are such bubbly people I love it!

Nice food and good atmosphere, we didn't book so had to give the table back after an hour however wasn't an issueThe pie was really good and the homemade chips in the gravy was to die forShame that after 9 months this was the first time we'd tried it and we're moving soon, we'll be back again soon

Went this lunch time with two family members for a birthday treat. Ordered the beef and ale pie with homemade chips and veg. The food was amazing.The best food iv had in years.staff member was really friendly and helpful.my first time at the Furlong but will definitely return.

Typical pub on the edge of Tunstall Park. It's is a community pub that serves a good range of veggie, vegan and other food, at quite a reasonable rate! Staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. Service was a little slow, hence the loss of a star, but worth a look

Me and my wife came her a few weeks ago, we wanted a meal and we ordered the food service was okay but the bar service was not .. the women at the bar by the name of Emma given to me by another staff member was terrible she’s meant to be the supervisor but her attitude was disgusting to the point we had to leave she pulled her face when we said we were waiting to be served she had served other people before me even though we had been at the bar before them, She was also swearing amongst other staff, I will most certainly not be coming in here again we live in kidsgrove and fancied a change of scenery I was very dissatisfied I will now avoid at all costs going there again and no manager was present so could not complain as stated by the other waitress who was really helpful

We have been a number of times over the years and normally the food is great, however this time the food was good not its normal high standards. We decided to order a dessert as a treat as we dont normally order one. We ordered a jam roly poly this however was really dry even with the custard. We asked our waitress who had been great with us if it could be taken off the bill as it was not edable, she said she would need get her manager. Her manager just said thats how its ment to be and they had sold more of it today and had no complaints, she point blank refused to remove it from the bill. The manager was an older women with long blondish hair. She was really rude and abrupt. Myself and my partner has worked in hospitality for many years and have never been spoken to in such a manner before. Unfortunately due to this experience we will not be returning again

Visited here for my mother in law's birthday as she is 84 and not very adventurous with food and likes pub classics. I on the other hand am adventurous and find pub classics a bit boring.I originally chose steak and ale pie but it's not a proper pie " with a bottom " so I opted for cheese and onion pie but the ratio of cheese to potato wasn't right and it was more of a mash pie with a little bit of cheese grated on top and no seasoning.My mother in law and husband enjoyed their meals though, hence the 4 stars.

Really nice hearty grub - Steaks were cooked to perfection 👍
