The Pepper Mill Pub in Stoke-on-Trent

Unfortunately the carvery wasn't up to standard. The veg was excellent but the meat dishes were poor. There were 6 in our group and not one of us could eat any of the beef....very tough, lots of gristle and too much fat. An issue also with the pork Far too much fat and not enough meat.On the plus side, the waitress did everything possible to make good our complaint and sincerely apologised. All very disappointing as this was meant to be a family celebration lunchNot the best experience for our first time visit.

Excellent food tonight, gammon egg and chips cooked to perfection. After a short break we had dessert, which was absolutely delicious. Lewis was superb in his attentive manner and customer service. 5 stars all around tonight. Thank you

We were very impressed with our steaks, really good quality and cooked to perfection. The waiter was really friendly and very helpful! We had a 30% off voucher which came through the door, and we will definitely be back again!

Excellent food, great professional and friendly staff, would def visit again when back in the area. Carvery and surf and turf we had, was well cooked and delish

After arriving for a mother's day meal with my family, parents and siblings, we got told our booking hadn't been made, the system in place had given us confirmation but the restaurant had rejected it. The welcome host Glen was very helpful tho and sorted us a table which we would have to have cleared by the hour this wasn't a problem as we appreciated him being able to help us get a meal together. The staff were very helpful when we required extra cutlery and asked us on a few occasions if we needed anything or more drinks they were friendly and professional

Brilliant carvery. Vegetables are normally a let down on most carveries but these were so delicious, every bit, roasties, carrots, cabbage, all of it was so yum. Prices on the till place a veggie carvery as the same price as a meat one, I know its a Sunday but I still think that should be looked at. Helpful friendly staff too. Thanks

Dined here a few times and it has always been excellent service and great food! Staff are always happy and very attentive to your needs. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I highly recommend the carvery, we visited on Sunday and it was absolutely beautiful followed by a carrot cake we could barely finish!Fantastic service and yummy food always.Will always come here

Amazing service. Bar staff were helpful and patient with me when ordering as I have allergies, that I needed to ask questions regarding. No matter what I asked they went above and beyond to help me out, even going to the extent to resanitize the table I was going to be sat at to ensure I had no contact with any possible allergens left by previous customers. The atmosphere was upbeat with superb food. We ordered a mixed grill and what can I say. It was magical. The chefs cooked it to absolute perfection. Topped off with a peppercorn sauce to DIE FOR. Could not have had a better experience, they even had a vintage games night to keep our 2 boys occupied whilst my husband and I enjoyed a bottle or two of wine. You may ask what a vintage games night Is as did we initially. We were wowed they supplied TVs on our tables with game consoles (Sega mega drive.. I hate to admit that I'm old enough to remember this as a young blossoming girl but I do). Visit the peppermill it's the place for you in 2022.

Came in out of the cold. Lovely warm welcome. Great food. Steak melts in the mouth. Full tummy before I could finish the meal. Shirley served us, she was bubbly and made us giggle while we enjoyed a drink afterwards. what a great time. We'll deffo be back. Thanks for the service x
