The Sneyd Arms Hotel & Restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent

The noise is unbearable. It was 00:00 and the hotel was still shaking from the bar downstairs, even on a Sunday. Staff carried cannabis openly and had children running around reception. Television didn't work, window had no handle and the wifi (if you could source the password) didn't work.

Visited on a Saturday.... was after a good night with music and they far exceeded my expectations .... a new club night every Saturday.... aswell as friendly staff .... its definitely somewhere I will be attending regularly .... 10/10

Called in the hotel for a night out,the staff are excellent,very warm welcome by them all,resident djs at weekends playing the best music,I would highly reccomend this hotel.

When we got there, there was only 1 visible member of staff and he was at the bar. He gave us the key, no friendly welcome, no welcome information wifi etc. The room (28) was verey shabby, curtains hanging off the rail, no remote for the tv, only 1 towel, had to make the bed, carpet well worn and window would not close. When we tried to sit on the bed to watch tv, we found that the bed base was broken, so we swapped them over and found a lot of rubbish underneath the bed. As we were going out we told the manager about the bed as i didnt want him to think we had broken the bed. No apology and no offer to swap either the room or the bed base, just to have a look at it in the morning, some use as we were only staying the 1 night. When we got back to the room, the security panel off the door at the top of the stairs as ripped off, showing bare wires, so anyone could have walked in through main entrance and gone upstairs to the rooms. When we got in the room there were 2 remotes for the tv, so somebody had been in the room but the bed base was still the same broken one. I appreciate the rates are cheap for this hotel, but to have to sleep in a room with a broken bed and curtains falling down is not acceptable. The locals all knew the reputation of this hotel and one even labelled it the hookers hotel.

Lousy place, room was untidy and very shabby. Bed base was broken and when manager was informed there was no apilogy or offer t swap it with one from a vacant room, only a 'i'll have someone look at fixing it in the morning'.

My dad stayed there, and he showed me the pictures. The carpet had literal sh!t stains everywhere. Lights missing, everywhere is FILTHY. For the love of god dont stay here

Wall paper has been picked off. Shared showers. Holes in the windows with some panels taped up. Window wouldn't close. People smoking weed in the hotel. Room wasn't cleaned properly. Breakfast was included but after seeing the room I didn't want to eat there. Will never go back again 😡

This place is nasty. Very dirty and stinking. TV remote was not working. The beds were very uncomfortable. I regretted bringing my family to this place. We had a very bad sleep. We couldn't have a shower the next day as the bath/shower room was very dirty. The room look like someone has just move away and had just drop there key.We met a letter on the tablet from the previous user the night before, addressing his letter to the owner saying they are sorry they couldn't sleep in the room as it wasn't cleaned.I have never been in a worst place before. I should have read the review. This place is worst than the reviews.Don't get me Started with the breakfast. Please what breakfast??. Bread and cereal.

Disgusting and dirty and smelly. Matress was very old and could feel all the springs. Left marks on body. Bedding ripped. Bathroom window had no handles and didn't close. Shouting in hall way at 1am and 2am. Felt very insecure. No cups for tea making tray. Surfaces all sticky. Luckily I had anti bacterial wipes with me to clean bathroom. Didn't stop for breakfast.

This hotel is a complete let down. It's absolutely disgusting and stinks of cigarettes, urine and alcohol. It reaks. Don't ever consider staying here. Find something else no matter what. It's also extremely noisy, from the bar downstairs. You're safer off in your car!
