I can't recommend this pub enough. I stayed here on business on a week night and it was fantastic! Hayley was super friendly and helpful and made me feel at home. The room was comfortable and clean and the overall process very well thought out for access into the building after hours. The pub was quiet and the breakfast was great (which was a help yourself in a communal kitchen). I will definitely return when next in the area

Scrupulously clean rooms, the delightful & friendly landlady Hayley has thought of everything in this excellent, well run BnB. Great night’s sleep in a comfy bed. Good quality tea and coffee provided, plus a cute teddy friend sitting on the covers! Cheaper and much nicer than a faceless hotel.

Stayed here on Saturday after watching the football. Great pub with good selection of ales. The rooms were beautiful and spotlessly clean. Can't recommend it enough, we will definitely come again. The best thing are the lovely people who work there. Thanks Haley for a lovely stay.

This was our second stay with Hayley. The first time, we were cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats and had such a comfortable night (with amazing shower!) that when we signed up for Alton Towers Half, we booked the Sutherland Arms again. The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully decorated with really comfortable beds and lots of extra touches. We love the communal kitchen which allowed us to have breakfast as early as we liked and there was a great choice. Hayley is the perfect host and we would definitely stay again. Highly recommended 👌

A little gemStayed here over the weekend whilst visiting family.Not an area we are particularly familiar with so was pleasantly surprised to find this little gem . From the moment we walked into the pub itself we felt very welcomed - extremely friendly host and bar staff not to mention the locals. And the surprises didn’t stop there. Hayley showed us to our room which had been recently refurbished to a very high standard . Very large room with probably the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Next time we visit family we will definitely stay here - no point looking anywhere else. Five star would definitely recommend. Thanks so much to Hayley and Tazz.

Lovely Bed and Breakfast. Hayley was extremely helpful even assisting us with restaurant recommendations, reserving tables and booking taxis. The room was spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds. Will definitely stay here if visiting Alton Towers again !

We highly recommend booking bed and breakfast at the Sutherland Arms. The rooms and en suites are fitted out to the highest standards of quality and cleanliness. Access to a residents’ kitchen Is a great benefit and includes laundry facilities. The rooms and general premises feel extremely secure and free parking can easily found in the street nearby. The location is excellent for accessing the city centre, heritage sites, station and supermarkets. The standard of the continental breakfast was very good as is the range of ales and drinks at the bar. The landlord and landlady are extremely professional and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We would love to return to Stoke on Trent in the future and would definitely stay again at the Sutherland Arms.
