I was given a time of 17.45 to collect my order it wasn't ready 15 mins after payment still not ready. Many staff working but no leadership no even an apology.

Used to be best chippy for miles.Freshly cooked to perfection.Would recommend the haddock and the scampi.Unfortunately, possibly due to change of ownership, the quality has deteriorated.Here's hoping that it will pick up!

Partner has just picked up a chip shop locally. Chips all brown and taste like cardboard! Felt like they have been left out for the past two days. Battered sausage rock hard and stale. I phoned them as it was that bad and I never complain! Nothing but rudeness from the owner. No alternative given from them and no apology. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Amazing service and food! Bought kebabs and fish&chips from there recently and all cooked fresh with freshly made salad. Very decent portions and good price's. Also daughter ordered mixed red&blue slushy and it was done in very creative way not like other places just pour you half blue and half red on top. Would highly recommend to try it yourself!

We have started coming over here again we have had a few really good experiences with this fish and chip shop and I am hoping that it will go back to use former glory under past owners. Hopefully the photos make a better story than the review. Haddock to order and good big pieces too, it's worth putting your head round the door and pre-ordering the haddock it will take around 10 minutes as it will be cooked fresh I normally nip into Waitrose and do a bit of shopping before picking up all the food. Chips are good and fresh the crispy ones are heaven.Original review from 2018:Not what it once was but still one of the best chip shops in the area. Not worth the 8 mile drive any more, however clean, stock is rotated well although this means you can end up with some very dry old sausage. Chips are ok, in the past the chips were to die for, now they are good but nothing special.
