Really nicely designed modern boutique hotel. The rooms are very spacious and light, with comfortable beds and furniture. Shower and wifi excellent and pod coffee machine also provided along with fresh milk, hot chocolate powder etc. Electric car charging (two points) is also a big plus. Breakfast was just superb. Wonderful selection for English breakfast traditionalists, continental fans and fully cater for vegetarians. Really tasty food. Service attentive and fast. Staff overall are super friendly and welcoming. Feels like a family business but with the standards of luxury boutique hotel. Highly recommend!

An enjoyable experience in a large family group on the mezzanine. Mostly good food but quite small choice menu. Disappointing vegetarian options (one main course). Very good attentive service. Beautiful smart environment. For special occasions as relatively expensive.

Genuinely one of the best places we’ve stayed in the UK. Beautiful surroundings, room was very spacious and lovely, and the food was the highlight of the visit. Could not recommend enough!

Fabulous setting and lovely food. Unfortunately the service let them down. Unprofessional staff who were noisy and didn’t appear to know what was on offer with drinks or gluten free food. A couple of major crashes of crockery next to our table and although we know accidents happen, there was no apology to us or to check we were okay. Now we will have to dry clean my partner’s coat as it has oil splashed all over it.

The rooms were excellent and so was the breakfast. The only downside is it is not very near to the town center. Nevertheless if you have a car it shouldn't be a problem. The rooms were well equipped and spacious. They provide in room coffee machine which is a delight.
