Bouche Bakehouse in Stratford-on-Avon

What a lovely, friendly, sensibly priced cafe, in such a fantastic location, with Shakespeare's house in full view. With free refills, wonderful breakfasts - we had the big breakfast and the bacon and eggs with extras - and lots of staff on hand at a time when most venues have too few, waiting times were short.I assume this means that their staff are well treated at this non-chain, dog friendly cafe. We'd definitely recommend Benson's.

There were numerous coffee shops and cafes in Stratford Upon Avon. We chose Benson because the decor appealed to us and we happened to be passing by after visiting Shakespeare's birthplace. For a busy summer day in a tourist location, the business is relatively quiet. We ordered cream teas. The scones were fine. It wasn't the best I've ever tasted.They were plain scones. Fruit scones are my preference. That was the only drawback in the experience. Overall, it was a pleasant visit, and I hope they sell fruit scones in the future.

Amazing value! Especially given its location…. And the food! Wow! The sausage and bacon are top notch. Best in Stratford for breakfast easily

Stopped for a snack where we both had tea and cake, very good service and reasonably priced but best of all both pieces of cake were delicious

little gem of Stratford, young lad served me and was so pleasant and helpful. Great food and all fresh and hot. Spot on full breakie. thank you. we will be back when next in Stratford.

We called in based on the good reviews however we were a little disappointed. We both had the cream tea and I upgraded my hot drink to a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. The staff were friendly and attentive. The drinks were great however the scones themselves were very dry and chewy. They didn’t taste fresh, just warmed up to soften them as they became even harder when they cooled down. The main meals others ordered all looked delicious but we felt we made a poor choice.

Friendly staff and fast customer service. The menu is simple and breakfast is only till 11am. Good portion sizes and they have a small gift shop next door too.

Very poor. Waited 45 minutes for breakfast, lady next to us waited 25minutes for a teacake!Food arrived and was tasteless, toast so cold the butter didn’t even melt.Wouldn’t pay £2 let alone £6.50 & £10 for our breakfasts. Very disappointed. Such a shame as the cafe itself looks lovely.

What a lovely tea room, really lovely staff with a fantastic selection of goodies to make it the best tea room.They have a comprehensive selection of tea that you can buy by the bag, a must visit if you're in the area!

This is a really nice tea room. The service was good and staff were friendly and helpful. The food was really nice and tasty. The prices were reasonable. Would recommend.
