Carvery Restaurant in Stratford-on-Avon

Popped in at 8.30 this evening looking to grab some dinner, had never been into the Encore before…..have to say we were extremely impressed & will definitely be making another visit! We both ordered the dirty burger, I can honestly say it’s up there as one of the best burgers we’ve ever had!! The beef dripping sauce was absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly & welcoming. We look forward to returning

Excellent from start to finish. We visited for Valentine's Day. The food was really good. Nice sized portions, tasty and a varied menu. We had a lovely table by the window overlooking the River Avon & the boats. The service was also excellent. I would highly recommend and would definitely visit again.

This place is amazing!! We had our Wedding Meal here and everything was perfect. The staff were outstanding, so polite, attentive and very friendly. The food was exquisite, could not fault it in anyway. Thank you to everyone who made our day so special. Would highly recommend.

Excellent lunch here. From exterior I thought it was a pretentious restaurant, but it is rather a very good eating pub.Had a very good steak sandwich, while other half had avocado thing.There are lots of window tables to watch world/river go by. Staff are excellent. We immediately found a good table, but booking is almost certainly best for busy times.

Excellent food but poor service. Ignored by waiters multiple times, sat with empty plates for 20 minutes waiting for dessert menus.

We had a weekend break to Stratford-upon-Avon and had been emailed by our hotel to book somewhere for evening meal as it got so busy.We decided to book here and upon arrival we had a good table upstairs with a window view of the canal and street below.We got seen to quite quickly considering how busy the restaurant was. We ordered our drinks unfortunately my first drink got spilled by the waitress, which wasn't her fault, however no one came to clean the glass up and it was all by my feet, in my opinion it should have been cleaned up immediately and not left.Our starters arrived piping hot and were very morish, we ordered calamari and lamb koftas, we shared this with our daughter and there was more than enough to go round. For mains we ordered a dirty burger a children's curry and a fish and chips, now I'm a bit reluctant to say I was disappointed with the fish and chips, but I really was, presentation was beautiful, however it really lacked flavor and the peas were dry, the lemon looked like it had been thrown at the wall a few times before being grilled. Fish had the skin still on battered which for me I didn't enjoy. I appreciate different areas have different ways of doing things. The chips were tasty, and I'm assured by the rest of our table their food was delicious.We didn't have desserts as we felt they were over priced and nothing stood out on the menu to justify the cost.Restaurant was very busy indeed and I would say to book a table in advance.Overall a nice place to come with family.

Encore in Stratford is such a lovely place to dine, went for brunch with Santa with my daughter and lovely every minute of it, food and service was excellent and Santa even remember this old man from when I was a boy and said I'm always on the nice list 🤣.Will be back in the future for sure.

Wow, what an absolute delight!! Every mouthful was incredible. The service was just as good, we waited only a few seconds at the main entrance, our waiter upstairs was very polite and chatty and made our evening a lovely one. We had the prawns starter and pork main with a mini pud crumble to finish and it was all perfect. The French martini was really well made as was the latte at the end. Cannot wait to go back again.

Booked in advance (glad we did as they got very full very quickly). Service and food was excellent, which is what we were expecting as this is the 3rd time we've visited The Encore during various trips to Stratford-upon-Avon over the last several years.Fillet steak was cooked perfectly and cut like butter 🤤

Most items on the menu were unavailable. The cod in batter was overcooked and the fish dry. The vegan curry was overpriced and upset my digestion. The vegan desert was fine but rather small.I can't recommend it. The menu was dull and there were a lot of unhappy diners. It used to have a good reputation. The building, location and service staff are fine but the kitchen and chef needs to improve.Very disappointing evening.
