Giggling Squid in Stratford-on-Avon

We had an excellent meal here. We visited based on the great reviews and hadn’t booked, thankfully they were able to squeeze us in. The staff were very attentive and if anything a little to quick between courses. The prawn crackers had only been with us for a few minutes when the mains arrived. We ordered chicken massaman and sticky chicken along with sticky rice and noodles. One thing to point out is that the sticky rice is advertised as to enjoy with rice or noodles, my mum interpreted that as they were included so was surprised to be charged £6 for the noodles. The food was fantastic but we just felt a little rushed to eat and drink fast.

Been here a few times now and the food is always nice, savoury, full of flavour and colour, when it eventually arrives.The staff are seemingly a little slow to ask for a drinks or food order, leaving us waiting for approx 15 minutes last time we visited recently. Plenty of staff wandering around during a modest busy early evening.One thing to note is that any gratuity is awarded by the customer, at their discretion based on the service and food/drinks received, and should not be added to the bill by the establishment unless that information is given in writing to the customer before being seated.Suffice to say the "optional discretionary 10% gratuity" added to the bill for us two was asked to be removed on this occasion.Let the customers award the business for service above and beyond, rather than potentially face embarrassment when the gratuity is asked to be removed from the bill in front of other customers.Nice food, venue and atmosphere. Have been before, will come again.

Amazing Thai food. I had the fisherman's curry. Best Thai curry I've ever had. Good sticky rice which comes in a traditional pot, however within the pot the rice is in a plastic bag which you have to pull out, spoils the authenticity. My Wife had the a type of seafood stir fry, lovely taste however it was a bit overpowering with the spice and way too many peppercorns (we both enjoy very spicy food but this was blow your head off hot). Excellent service.

Lovely date night meal. Very friendly and attentive staff. Particularly appreciate the readily available tap water which can often be difficult to get. The squid was gorgeous, and the tiger beef very tender.

Delicious Thai food. Combo lunch meal is a good deal. Ambiance is quite soothing. Good location. Not far from high street parking. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Will definitely return and recommend.

By far the best of the Giggling Squid restaurants we've been to! A beautiful spacious interior, attentive service and wonderful food. I'd especially recommend the sticky chicken stir fry and the vegetable spring rolls. The trio of desserts was delicious, though a little small (it's described as ideal for sharing, but between two people we only had a mouthful each of each dessert!)I'd definitely recommend it

With less than 30 branches in the country, been wanting to try a Giggling Squid. Not at all disappointed, we loved it. We had the lunch menu, choosing the Two Giggling Squid platter with extra rice for all that lovely Massaman sauce, and Chicken Pad Thai (best Pad Thai I've had). This enough for 2 people. Also chose the non alcohol Jungle Colada, was delicious. Staff deserve a mention and very helpful despite being busy. Toilet was clean.

Possibly the best Thai food ensemble we've had the pleasure of enjoying outside of Thailand itself. The staff accommodated us very late in the day with a big smile and a warm welcome after a previously disappointing evening in the town.The starters being the first course to arrive, were beautifully presented and delightful to eat - it left us hotly anticipating the next course!The main course didn't disappoint - it too was presented well, served hot and the flavours delicious.We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the Giggling Squid. The exceptional quality of the food was only further personified by the warmth of the staff and superb interior of the restaurant itself. And what's more, it won't burn a monster hole in your budget, either.

Loved The Giggling Squid! The place was buzzing- vibrant and lively but the service was quiet and unobtrusive. Food was fantastic! The flavours were incredible. I had the salad starter, which was a fab mix of hot and sweet and the prawn massaman curry. Can also recommend the mosquito cocktail- hint of chilli! Amazing 😊

Super Thai food. Helpful and friendly staff. Lunchtime deal £8.50 small starter and main was excellent. Authentic Thai spice, flavour and content. Red curry was sweet, smooth and spicy. Spring rolls crisp, fresh and tasty. Excellent value. Drink prices a little high as expected.. Highly recommended.
