Le Bistrot Pierre in Stratford-on-Avon

Lovely meal, good portions. Was nice atmosphere got attended to nice and quick. Food was on the table in no time. Great variation on menu to will definitely go back

We probably should have read the other reviews on here as this place seems to have not learnt from its mistakes. The food was nice, but the service lacking. The waiter never wrote our order down and subsequently took 20 minutes to come back to us to say the starter was not available. In the meantime we observed nearly every single table call the waiter over to raise a compliant. The staple steak frites was missing the garlic butter, no doubt a direct consequence of not writing the order down. We then had to wait a further half an hour to close out the bill. The only saving grace was a different waiter named Harvey who was more attentive.

Mothers Day fixed price menu £24.95. Family of four. We paid a £40 deposit on booking. So imagine our disappointment when one of the starters wasn’t as described on the menu, and when we asked about it, it was met with a shrug. Then my dessert. I’d been looking forward to this meal out with my family. I ordered chocolate bombe. I was given ‘chocolate pot’. Not even on the menu. I asked for my actual desert and it arrived literally frozen solid. Chocolate sauce was cold. Again we sent it back, and were asked to choose something else. I gave up and had a latte. Our complaints were met with a shrug. The staff clearly don’t care about customer service. The chef just sends out whatever. The meal cost over £100. No offer of any sort of deduction. We were done complaining after the third time. Utter utter rubbish.

We had lunch today, and being both vegan, we were so impressed at the options on the menu. Although one of the two options was unavailable, the vegan beetroot Wellington was outstanding! Wonderful, friendly service and great food in a relaxing setting. Thank you.

The service has been poor - an hour per course - but the food was ok, apart from the mash which tasted like it was out of a packet.They forgot our desert and our wine on the valentine's menu. They also expected us to pay for it and didn't even initially consider our deposit for the table until mentioned. They tried to overcharge. That's Pretty poor.However they did bring our Mains before our starters and after saying we hadn't been served our starters, they fixed that. Well done.We Won't be going again. It has been a diabolical experience on our pre valentine's evening.I suspect basil from Fawlty towers was somewhere in the kitchens coordinating and the waiting staff had a 2005 version of Google maps to navigate to the wrong table every time.Frankly, it was embarrassing to watch.5 other couples also complained whilst I was here about food quality and service. I'm not surprised. Awful experience.Put some management in and a head chef quickly.I won't ever visit again in my life.Ps the dessert and wine never arrived. I got 20% discount but paid 66% of the price so that's a 14% service charge for the worst experience of my life.The tip would have been to close the restaurant as soon as they can.Pps its a chain... And the reviewer before me who had a lovely time must have had too many cocktails before going in.

Food rates higher than this to be honest alongside ease of booking and welcome. However, the service at dinner and breakfast was lacking. Whether it be time taken to place an order, a check back, removal of plates... It was quite funny in the end when our breakfast waitress performed a brilliant Julie Walters impression! She should just have a pen and notepad. I asked for orange juice, the young fella took my glass away, never came back. All. Just. Lacking. Beautiful venue!

The welcome we had in Bistrot Pierre on a weekend trip to Stratford was the best hospitality the group of all 5 of us have had in years. We arrived an hour early for our table as we were so cold and they let us sit Infront of the fire and brought us gorgeous cocktails.Anna looked after us really well as did all staff that we spoke to. They literally couldn't do enough for us. This alone would have made a great experience but the food was also exemplary and at a ridiculously reasonable price. We stayed for 3 hours in total and it was the highlight of our whole trip.The owners are lovely and you'll be welcomed away from the hustle and bustle of the busy restaurants on the main street.

Stopped in unplanned. Was just walking by and it wasn't too busy. Really nice building, they have a nice terrace that would be great in the summer by the river. Service was really good as was the food. They currently have a 2 course meal deal (fixed price menu I'm sure they'd prefer I call it). Great value! We also got free creme brulee when we downloaded the app.

While visiting Stratford we happened upon Bistrot Pierre, following our boat trip on the Avon, we were seated near the window in the very inviting restaurant, everything we had was delightful from the creamy flavoursome Risotto, fresh Thai chicken salad to the sweet, scrumptious sticky toffee pudding all served superbly on hot plates, everything we ate was exquisite, seasoned to perfection and enjoyed with great ambience..Thank you so much..we will return...

Generally I have had good experiences at other Bistrot Pierre restaurants. Wine was great, chorizo tasty, scallops undercooked and not seared, bourguignon was terrible - overcooked and tough, fish cakes and salmon ok, not amazing. Great service, but the food was a big let down. Overall somewhat dissatisfied...
