Mr. Chan's in Stratford-on-Avon

I really really like Chinese food & this is probably best take away ever been to. Food so fresh tasting, meat great quality & the chap behind counter really friendly.

So we have been having take always from here for years and have always been happy with the food until tonight. The food quality was terrible old favourites trashed even the basics like egg fried rice.To add insult to injury the food was due in 30mins but only got it 50 mins.Will not be going back we will have to find another establishment for our Chinese takeouts.

Excellent food as always Took my partner out for his birthday and they did a suprise ice cream cake with out us knowing anything about it Would highly recommend

An honest review of Mr. Chan's. Sunday 30th Jan 2021 and a 5.30 booking for 5. We were a mixed party, 3 Chinese ladies and 2 English men who went to celebrate forthcoming Lunar New Year. Other reviews and the fact that the place we wanted to go in Leamington was closed made us choose here.From the off, just one waitress who coped well, was helpful and friendly. 2 more came later. Not sure if the kitchen had staffing issues, quite possibly did. Food came hot and reasonably well presented.We thought portion sizes meagre, particularly the steamed dumplings which we thought were frozen and way overpriced. We bought a 60 pack for 8gbp online yet were charged 5gbp for 4 here, not sure why we didn't get 5 = 1 each. Ribs average at best, same for the chicken wings. Mains, the Sea Bass ok, the mixed chow mein ok, as was the prawn dish, but the rest was poor. 2 dishes we were not charged for, not sure if that's a positive or negative.Some cleanliness issues within the establishment mean that we will never return. I know the place gets good reviews, and I have no reason to believe these are incorrect, so we put it down to bad luck/timing.

Ordered food for four for collection. Food was ready as soon as I arrived. Food was amazing. Friendly staff, clean tidy inside. Would recommend for eating in or takeaway.

I have driven past and parked nearby Mr Chan's many a time and not been in. So l thought about trying it. I bought various chinese dishes, l did not book, but just turned up and was made most welcome. Taking the food home and sharing it out. It was lovely and most enjoyed. I will go there again in the not so distant future.

I am reluctant to share this because if you all know I might not get a table anymore! Omg! Its the best crispy chilli beef u will taste ever! Wonderful staff and fantastic food. AMAZING 👏 .
