Naya in Stratford-on-Avon

A fabulous higher-end Sunday lunch. Great food. Great service. Good value. Very well prepared for the current conditions - all very safe and considered. You recommended.

We did our research before booking this restaurant and based on reviews and description, had hope's of having a good quality taster menu meal. Unfortunately we were really disappointed. I would like say from the outset how good the service staff were, and the attention and level of service could not be faulted. The problem however, was when it came to the food. Bearing in mind we were paying £45 a head, two of the dishes consisted on 2 cauliflower florets with some kale, and a bit of smoked salmon with cream cheese. While these were average in flavour at best, they hardly pushed any culinary boundaries, nor lived up to the price tag. The pork Wellington, that was the last savory dish of the menu was unimaginative, ok in flavour and very tough in texture. We'd been holding out hope that this might be the dish that packed the punch, that would make the meal worth it, but again very disappointed.The tables were sticky, though I'm not sure if this might have been due to varnish rather than cleanliness, either way it didn't make a good impression. The atmosphere was far from buzzy, as described in other reviews, bearing in mind this was a friday evening.

Really liked this place. The service was good, and all the staff friendly, but the food, wow. All that and it is all really reasonably priced for the quality! Really good!I had mushroom and roast celeriac to start was great, fantastic flavour. Mixed fish for main, all perfectly cooked. With pineapple and meringue for pudding, which was devine.I will remember this meal for a long time! I will definitely be going back!

Went here for our anniversary and was a little let down. Food wasn't bad, but expected a bit more depth of flavour after looking at the website and menus beforehand. Atmosphere was a bit stale since it was very quiet, but we did have a good experience overall. Our waitress was also very nice and keyed on.

Booked for a pre-theatre dinner. Taken upstairs my wife and I were initially rather worried, the decor is both rather tired and very unsure of itself, looking rather like a tired pub than one of Stratford’s better restaurants. However, the service was excellent and the food rather brilliant. The duck livers were completely gorgeous, the thai fish cakes very good, and the steak scrumptious. Desserts good if nothing more. But over all a completely brilliant place. Highly recommended.

Fantastic local restaurant in Stratford. Andy and Magda always make us feel so welcome. The food is excellent and the team clearly have a passion for great food, wine and service. Highly recommended!

Absolutely love this place. Stunning food, relaxed atmosphere. Can definitely recommend doing the 9 course tasting menu, worth ever penny.

My wife’s favourite restaurant! Excellent food and service every time we go! We travel 2 hours to get to Stratford and always make sure we go to this place for lunch or an evening meal. Never fails!

I have never felt the need to leave a review but I have to for this place. My husband and I had the 9 course taster menu with wine on Saturday 23rd March. (a very special treat) the staff were polite, attentive and very very friendly, they really made us feel at home. The food was out of this world! When we are in Stratford again we'll definitely be back to try the normal menu. I honestly cannot praise this restaurant enough. Can't wait for our next visit.

Absolutely amazing place! Food was excellent, wine choice was perfect and service that made the ideal package. A hidden gem in a usually overpriced and overrated town if you're not into Shakespeare! Made two family birthdays perfect in one sitting
