Nice golf course. Greens not the best looking but smooth. Would come back again.

We were lucky enough to have our wedding in the barn attached to the park hotel last month. Anyone looking for a beautiful rustic venue, with amazing staff to get married or have an event we can't recommend Stratford Park hotel enough!!! You won't be disappointed! The rooms which we stayed in were beautiful and clean. All the staff that we encountered were all fantastic, nothing was to much trouble! Breakfast was 10/10 and the dinner was superb! We still have our wedding guests comment now on how nice their stay was at the Stratford Park hotel. Thank you again!

First time playing the golf course and I have to say for this time of year I was very impressed. Iv played a lot of courses lately and I have to say the quality and green keeping is up there with the best. Plus the club house and hotel is a 5 star rating for staff and food, keep it up guys and we will be back soon for another round

My husband and I stayed here with another couple we were celebrating our friend's birthday, we dined in the restaurant the food and the service were excellent, the waitress was so attentive and the steak was delicious. The log burners made it very warm & cosy. The bedroom and shower were very tastefully decorated and the full English breakfast the next morning was superb. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a special getaway with lots of yummy food.

The general staff were friendly and helpful, the grounds were nice, but all of this is overshadowed by the senior staff (I believe they are the owners) who are incredibly rude and arrogant. Judging by the other reviews on here it seems we are just lucky that they didn't resort to violence.I cannot speak for their other services, but for Weddings AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

We just married here & the whole experience has been amazing. The updates during cover were constant & the moving of our date was very painless. The team on the day were fantastic & the food was superb. Well done Beverley, Jason & Anna & thnkyou for making our day a day we will always remember. We can't wait to come back

Back for another great stay at this hotel as visiting theatre. Dinner in restaurant was really good & the staff were attentive & friendly. Lovely receptionist l, booked taxi for us. I stay away regularly with work & this hotel is small & friendly. The staff are great. This now definitely my go to hotel when in the area!

My partner and I had our wedding at this hotel and while our day turned out to be magical in the end, it was certainly tough going to get there. We booked our wedding in Jan 2020, we'd booked with this venue because of beautiful location and the positive reviews. Our 1st wedding date was in March 2021. We were so happy, but the minute we handed over our deposit things changed. Communication was none existent and that was PRIOR to the lockdown in March and only got worse from there.I had to chase the venue at every stage as we barely got any responses to our emails. In the end, I had to resort to contacting them over the phone. We were advised that given the restrictions we should consider planning for a smaller wedding - which we began to do - none of which was confirmed in writing (due to the unanswered emails). However, the closer it got to Christmas the more likely it looked that our March date wouldn't be happening.Postponing with the venue was awful, they were reluctant to engage with us at every stage. Eventually we managed to postpone till October. After the postponement we continued to plan for the smaller wedding, as we'd been advised, at the time it still looked unlikely that the government restrictions would be lifted. Until, in the summer of 2021, I finally started to get email responses from the owner of the venue. The minute it became clear the government restrictions were being lifted (just two months prior to our wedding date) the owner made it very clear that we must revert back to our original contract and she wasn't even subtle in her desire to squeeze every penny out of us.After a phone conversation, where she'd left me in tears, I asked for a meeting with her. I had to bring the groom and my mother with me for moral support. The meeting was awful, the owner was so rude and spoke to me like I was a poor relation who was only able to have their wedding at her venue by her good graces - forgetting the £10k we were spending. She argued and outright denied any of the things that had been discussed with me over the phone by her previous wedding planner (who had left during the pandemic) even down to the menu options!During our first meeting, we were told that the chef was revamping the menu and that we could confirm our menu choice at a food tasting we would be invited to, which never happened, so in our contract a placeholder meal for our price bracket was added. At the meeting with the owner, she was insistent that as that was what was in the contract, then that was what we must have! The placeholder in question was a beef dish as the main, which I tried to stress I would never have chosen as half of my family are Hindu's who cannot eat beef! She very reluctantly allowed us to change this in the end.Suffice to say, we left the meeting absolutely dreading our day.Things only started to look better when the owner actually hired people to handle the weddings. Thanks to these wonderful ladies, we were finally able to get things in order - ONE MONTH BEFORE OUR WEDDING DATE! Natasha and Debbie deserve full credit for how amazingly our wedding turned out to be. Debbie was a joy and managed to put me at ease as we finally sorted everything out and thanks to Natasha, who co-ordinated our day, everything went off without a hitch. The servers and bar staff were lovely and the breakfast served the morning after was great. This review is only not one star because of them. The only additional things I feel worth mentioning are:- Our package included a DJ. We were told he would contact us, but he never did. We were told we were getting another DJ. The DJ we ended up with was rubbish - he played the music at deafening levels, he never played any of the songs from the list we gave him and our guests saw him helping himself to our wedding cake more than once!- The Bridal Suite, the room was lovely apart from the HUGE scuff mark on the wall and the mystery stain on the floor by the bed.

We had our wedding at Stratford Park Hotel about a week ago, and I can't stress enough that you absolutely shouldn't do the same. The staff were lovely, but the owner is one of the most unpleasant people I've ever had to deal with. Originally we were asked by the venue to cut our guest list because of covid concerns, but then they told us we had to raise the number back up with only a handful of months left until our date. Anything the venue agreed to on the phone was later dismissed, and we were told we had to follow the letter of the contract, which is partially our mistake for not insisting we get these things in writing, but we had assumed that if the venue agreed to it, it wouldn't be a problem. During a face to face meeting with the owner, she started shouting at us when we were discussing these issues with her. There was a DJ provided by the venue that we were told would contact us for further details which never did, and when I got his contact details from the venue for him a few days before the wedding, he informed us that he wasn't doing our wedding any more and a new DJ had been arranged. We provided the new DJ with over 2 hours worth of music, which he brought with him and didn't play a single track from. I cannot stress enough, do not have your wedding here, they will do everything in their power to squeeze every last penny out of you, and the owner is completely shameless about it, and will be unprofessional every step of the way. As a quick last note, our bridal suite also had a large patch of chipped and scuffed plaster as if something had been thrown against the wall, and a fresh stain of was I hope was a spilled drink, obviously this isn't as important as the other details but not what I would expect from the bridal suite.
