Super friendly staff and the menu looked good. Can’t wait to return for drinks when o can. A Huge shout out to today’s chef who made me a delicious (!) salad off menu. I recently had to start a strict detox but didn’t want to miss my friend’s leaving lunch. The salad was perfect. Very accommodating - it was much appreciated! 🙏

A fantastic pub with a great range of craft beers and really good food. The staff were really passionate about the beers on offer and recommended a couple of new one for us to try. They have also just launched a Net Zero initiative to offset the CO2, a great idea and only cost the customer a couple of pence a pint. A place that really wants you to just drop anchor for the afternoon!

My wife and I came here as a break from the bustling streets of Stratford-upon-Avon. The bar staff were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about their products as well as my taste in beer!My wife was impressed as she often has tea and judges it by an accompaniment which in this instance was smarties. She was pleased! It was also sausage night which was a local butcher and well received with chunks of their sausage available at the bar with various sauces.Dan, was so knowledgeable and welcoming, his personality shone through both with us and guests as they entered.Miles, another notable member of staff that was perceptive of guests, their requirements and very welcoming.Being burger night on a Wednesday we cancelled our reservations elsewhere to taste the burgers. The Katsu was lovely as well as the Aubrey’s steak burger. Both Dan and Miles ensured we had a nice evening and recommended local places for breakfast.Top notch.

Great pub, friendly staff. Dog friendly. Staff have previously recommended drinks and the food is nice. Will return!

We had Sunday roast and it was excellent. My partner had the beef, and it was tender and tasty. I had pork and the crackling was fried separately. There was Yorkshire puddings and roasted potatoes, which they came and offered a second helping. The portion was very generous, with a bit of cabbage, carrots and parsnips. We found the price a little steep, but this is a very nice restaurant, as they call it, a gastro-pub.

It was a beautiful March evening, so I ate in the Courtyard. This time of year it was mostly locals, which was nice. It really was a great atmosphere.I had Bangers and Mash, which was seriously the best I’ve had.But the barmaid made this truly a great visit. She was double tasked with food and bar service, but she took time at every table to talk to her customers. Very friendly and kind, and attentive to everyone’s needs. This will be my pub of choice whenever I am in Stratford.

We booked out The Barn area for our wedding reception and organised a Buffet. The food was fantastic, delicious and plentiful. They even went above and beyond making vegan food on the spot. Service was great. I would thoroughly recommend anyone coming here for a relaxed friendly atmosphere.

When me burger was delivered I thought I was going to be a bit dissappointed because in a pound for pound (£-4-LLB) sense it was a bit small. However..... It was so flipping tasty I was easily satisfied and happy I did feel stuffed from stuffing a whole massive burger.Staff were v friendly and the whole place just was beautiful, it reminded me of when I woz cool and young and would hang out in the summer drinking, having fun and making friends with strangers. Love this place. Def coming back.

Fantastic place, friendly, welcoming and very dog friendly. Food was very good standard and reasonably priced. Also due to being close the high street but not directly on it, we walked in without booking and due to being a sunny Sunday and everywhere else was packed it was nice to have somewhere quiet to eat and relax. Will I return ? Most definitely.

We had a fantastic evening at The One Elm in Stratford-upon-Avon for our date night! The place is just off the main little high street and very easy to find. We had a nice, private booth at the back of the restaurant area and it was comfortable and had nice lighting.A gentleman who I believe was the manager recommended us some nice local pints to start. We were offered the specials board, but unfortunately the one we wanted was unavailable so we deferred back to the main menu, but having tasted our choices we were very pleased! The halloumi fries were piping hot and gooey and huge, with a bloody Mary sauce. The chicken wings were absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked, with a sweet and sticky sauce and some fresh coriander on top, as well as sliced spring onions to dress. The sauce was delicious and we love coriander so were pleasantly surprised when the wings came out covered in it.We ordered steak for the main, both rare Sirloin on the bone... One with normal fries and one upgraded to chicken poutine. We had one of each of the steak sauces to share - a bearnaise and a peppercorn. The steaks came out with one slightly more medium-rare than the other, however we switched plates (I like mine bleeding still) and both had a perfect cook for our tastes. The meat was just about perfect in texture, some melt in the mouth parts and the fattier bits weren't too chewy and gelatinous. You could definitely taste the quality of the beef. The only one thing we could say would be that whilst the sear was beautiful, there wasn't much seasoning on the steak itself. The sauces obviously made up for this, so it wasn't a big deal. The fries were golden and crisp, and whilst we wouldn't necessarily have pegged the poutine as a poutine - the roasted chicken covered fries were just right. As for the sauces, I didn't care much for the bearnaise, but I'm not a huge fan anyway. The peppercorn sauce, on the other hand, was absolutely incredible. I've never had such a delicious peppercorn sauce. It was thick, with tons of whole peppercorns and a real kick to it. It was so moreish! We ordered a bottle of wine as recommended on the wine menu by the restaurants somalier, however we were really disappointed with it. It tasted almost like it had a fizz on the tip of the tongue. The manager offered to change it for us, as we did ask if the wine was supposed to taste this way, but we declined as everything else was so perfect we didn't want to cost them the money. We didn't have space for dessert but we ordered some cocktails for after. I tried the banoffee martini and we both had espresso martinis after. They were delicious, just as expected and whilst you can only really have one of the banoffees as they're sweet, I recommend trying one!The waitresses were all very chatty and friendly, the only issue we had bar the wine (which was our own choice) was that the service on the food was a bit slow. The quality made up for it though, and the service was brilliant. The staff are only too happy to help.We sat in the garden for drinks after, and were not rushed out even after the bell went, the manager was happy to chat to us for a while too which made the experience even more personal.Highly recommended, my rating would have been 4.5 stars but there's no half option, so have a 5, you were very close anyway. :)We'll be back next time we visit the beautiful area. Thank you for a lovely evening.
