Rose and Crown in Stratford-on-Avon

Ordered two chicken and bacon sandwiches to be very disappointed chicken and bacon mashed together like it came out of a tin. Not good value

Went there for some drinks and some food. The drinks were average but nothing extraordinary. Prices for the drinks were okay. But the food was very dry and without any taste. The fries were very greasy. Portions very small and prices for plates and shares very high. Fish and chips were quite okay but the burgers, the chicken and the Mac N' cheese were really really bad!Nevertheless the staff was very courteous and friendly.

Under new “management” but for the biggest sports pub around, they can’t even work the TVs out. The staff look like rabbits in headlights with nobody there to lead them. I have been in a number of times the last few weeks but am yet to his mysterious new manager. Perhaps they only work quiet times? In the past I’ve loved this pub but think I will now use the coach house from now on as they also show live sport!

Lovely pub and atmosphere, the food was very disappointing though. We had a chicken platter which was like a starter for one person and it is meant for two. The chicken stips were no bigger than the chips and the wings we deep fried bones. For the price we were unhappy

This was my first visit to the Rose and Crown, despite having walked past it for many years!We visited for lunch for a belated Mother's Day outing and were pleasantly surprised by the enormous interior and large outdoor area.Food is British Pub Grub, freshly prepared and reasonably priced.Our server (turned out to be the new manageress (or owner?) was delightful and knew exactly how to make us feel welcome. Our meals were very nice indeed, well presented and value for money.Recommended for a casual lunch or dinner, friendly service and lively atmosphere.

A decent priced pub, very deceiving in size, the food was lovely if your just looking for pub grub.

Beautiful food, we had large fish and chips and a fish finger sandwich both dishes were amazing all sauces on the side the large came with 3 different ones. It wasn't busy when we walked in but soon got busy as football was also on. Great atmosphere definitely worth 4 stars the only thing that let it down was, the toilets could have been a lot better.

Fabulous place to have a drink and chat. very cozy and the staff are very kind. located in the center with a very beautiful decoration.

The only thing this place has going for it is the architecture but you can get this at almost any building in Stratford-upon-Avon.The atmosphere is dead, the tables are sticky, the toilets smell and look like a chicken coop, and the ale tastes like its been on tap for way too long.Find a different place to drink/eat.
