The Bear Free House in Stratford-on-Avon

Decent beer choices and now a nice seating area out the front. Not the cheapest in town tho. Expect to pay a premium.

Staff need customer facing skills update. First of all arrived and asked for the offer they have for Fizz Friday. Was met with a sea of blank faces from the bar staff. Showed them the deal currently on their website and was met with a reply of "That might be so mate but nobody told me". Ordered a pint and a prosecco which was actually a glass of the French fizz that should have been on offer. The fizz had no fizz and when I asked them to change it they looked at me like I had two heads and never even apologised. NOT GOOD GUYS. Was going to dine but so dissatisfied I went elsewhere.

Family day out to straford upon avon. Went to the bistro first but were asked to go to The Bear. Not busy when arrived. Waited an hour for a round of hot drinks to be served. Tea was disgusting. Sorry we expected far better.

Just reopened and has been refurbished very nicely. Service was excellent. Just went for drinks and the beer was very good.

Nice old world pub with pretty interior adjoining hotel lounge impressive

Second time I have attempted to visit this pub and second time they have been closed when advertised as open. Reading some of the reviews on Trip Advisor this may have been a blessing in disguise as it sounds pretty awful anyway. No doubt another pub that won’t last much longer and deservedly so.

We popped on for a drink before going out elsewhere for dinner. It was very busy because there was a rugby game on. Placed our order at the bar. Staff were brilliant and delivered our drinks to us and promptly. All well organised. Maybe another bar staff person would have helped but not a problem

Tasty food, great ale selection. Meal deals at at certain times. Really friendly staff.

Okay. Food was normal pub food. Was 12:00, but we were informed there was only two beef patties left and they had sold out of Vodka (was just after Christmas). Good local beer selection at the bar with Purity and nice location in Stratford.

All the micropub benefits of great well kept ale yet in large quirky cool rooms plus Sky Sports. I wish this was my local
