We went out dog walking and wanted a pub to sit in the sun with the dogThis is in a great location on the canalYou can't take the dog inside but can sit outsideIt is like walking into a time warp but in a nice way, we had a couple of batches which were nice but £5.95 and it literally a tuna batch, ordered chips and they were frozen french fry types which was a bit disappointing really as would have liked some chunky pub chipsBut all in all great location, nice staff and the food was fine

My friends and me have made this a Christmas tradition to go for a meal . Food always seems home cooked , staff friendly . Decorations are lovely , very Christmasy lots of effort gone into the place. Great place to take the kids . Overall, a fab experience with great food .

Lovely pub beautiful in summer with all the flowers out and the Xmas lights are beautiful too the owners must spend hours putting up the lights very pretty Canalside pub .nice food too

Lovely location. Quirky inside. Dog friendly as long as you sit outside. Limited menu but the food was great! No Point doing loads of food badly if you can do a small amount really well, and they do! Daily specials on the menu too! Boaters welcome with overnight mooring for patrons.

Very pretty pub and good food right on the Grand Union Canal

The Blue Lias is a lovely place to visit for a relaxing drink and lunch, the food was very good along with the good service. The facilities are excellent, toilets, parking and most of all the area for outside eating which is set out alongside the canal. We had a nice and relaxed lunch while watching the narrow boats and wildlife slowly and quietly passing by. Just what we needed after the past months of restrictions, most people was adhering to the face masks and distancing rules which was nice to see.

Went there for a bite to eat on nice evening, but most things on menu were sold out so we just settled for a nice cold beer. Sitting outside the we relaxed with our dog watching the various craft passing bye, or stopping off for a drink.Linked to a adult only caravan park. Dog friendly. Seems to be very popular for the good weather! Food that was being served looked good.

Lovely weekend away in the campsite and the pub garden is beautiful. The Blue Lias is in a perfect location for walking along the canal and stopping for a good beer and something to eat.
