Great stay. A great location central to a lovely market town. Tastefully decorated throughout. All the staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them . Food really well thought out. Loved the homemade cookies in the room.

Atmosphere and restaurant decor very nice. Coffee was good. Food was a bit hit and miss. American pancakes consisted of 3 very tiny and not really American style pancakes. Eggs benedict was also a small portion. The avocado and eggs was a much bigger portion so would recommend that!

Called in for lunch today. Was delighted to see there was a reasonably priced set menu. Each course was beautifully presented and very tasty. We didn’t know what to expect as the last meal we had there was a disappointment (pre covid). Well done to the chef - keep this up. Food aside, we were also looked after very well by the staff too. Thank you!

Stayed 1 night with breakfast included. We had the Blue room. All the rooms are gorgeous though so would have been happy with any. The bathroom was a real wow factor! We stayed a Sunday night so sadly the Michelin starred restaurant was closed, but we had a really lovely breakfast in the morning. The decor throughout is outstanding and the finishing touches made it extra special. Especially like opening the bedroom door to Classic FM playing in the room and fresh bottles of still and sparkling water.

The menu is interesting and imaginative. Had a lovely lunch today. Was delighted to see sweetbreads served with a beautifully cooked rump of lamb. Well done to chef and all the staff were polite and helpful.

We often come here for the breakfast which is delicious but we decided to come for the new lunch menu today! What a banging Friday lunch. Everything was cooked well and thoughtfully presented. Service was impeccable and the menu was on point. We had the the chicken milanese, the lamb and the hallibut for mains - with sides of potatoes and broccoli. All 5*We followed by the 🍋 Lemon Tarte and sorbet it was a wonderful meal.

Excellent Sunday lunch. Make sure you are hungry before going. The vegetarian sunday lunch was lovely too.

Some of the best food I've eaten in Cotswold so far! Great menu, exciting flavours and perfectly cooked food. Every dish was delicious and moorish. Knockout dishes were the'N'duja Scotched Egg', perfect, not overpowering with N'duja, but just enough to give the sausage meat more flavour and heat, and with that runny egg Centre, so good! The other dish I loved was the White Chicken, you always hear on Masterchef how they perfectly cooked the chicken breast and have a bit of a moment over it, well this was one of those moments. Price wise, you're looking at the mid to higher cost bracket for the meal (around £40-55 pp with 3 courses and drinks), but it's definitely value for money due to the quality of cooking and ingredients being used. The staff and service were fantatsic, we didn't actually catch our servers name, but she was delightful, funny and professional and made the evening very calming and relaxing. Highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back.

Really looked forward to visiting this place but sadly won't be returnung after first and only visit. We decided to go for breakfast and were so disappointed, we had higher expectations after restaurant claiming to have Michelin stars! We waited for over 30min for the breakfast to arrive, when finally served the food was only slightly warm. Sausages barely cooked, same case with bacon, and snotty eggs. The veggie option could do with veggie sausage and both plates had no harsh browns. I am sorry but I do expect so much more for £12 per plate. In short, long wait, cold food and not the greatest quality or quantity. Also place could to with a bit of tlc.

Rooms comfortable, spacious and beautifully decorated. The dinner was delicious with large choice. ..special of chateaubriand which was perfect. Staff couldn't do enough to make the stay perfect. Wonderful breakfast. Hard to fault
