the whole lemon sole was pretty good. needs more seasoning but overall good. the views really add to it.

Superb food, superb service, a restaurant I and my wife would have no hesitation in recommending. I was a chef in Switzerland and West Germany in the 1960s and am delighted to find this gem almost on my doorstep.

Owner a bit grissly, food pretty good. A bit cramped inside as well. Too many covers. I was sitting back to back with a lady who was talking loud and i couldnt hear the people on my own table. Nice younger staff who couldnt do enough for us all.

Parking is a bit challenging and not a lot of space to dine on the waterfront, but nice overall. There's a big playground just on the other side of the river too.

Had a very good lunch from from the pris fixe menu. Very tasty sardine starter and a well cooked piece of hake in a bean stew. Enjoyable and good value with good service.

Found this wonderful restaurant on our first night away, and so glad we did, very friendlv waiting staff, sat outside whuch was lovely and the food was so good we could of been dinning in a Mitchlin stared restaurant. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience

Great food with staff to match. Tried this restaurant following a recommendation - and what a recommendation it was! Enjoyed it so much will be back again this week to try other things on the menu. Courteous staff, friendly atmosphere and found them to very helpful and informative when asked questions about the menu. If we lived in this area it would be my local ‘go to’ without doubt.Lovely river view, worth asking if there is a table outside over looking it if the weather is looking good

Very nice setting. Friendly enough staff. Service a little slow and to be honest for the price the food was just average. The risotto was ok but the portion was on the small side. The fish and chips was very salty and the batter too tough. We told the staff but no apology came back. So basically it's a question of more style than substance here. As I said it's a lovely setting.

Lovely position, great food and excellent staff. Not 'cheap' but this is reflected in the quality. Highly recommended.

We visited the week before Christmas and to be honest I was expecting it be the usual slow service you would expect in most restaurants this time of year but it was quite the opposite! We were a large table and the service was impeccable. We were greeted by the kitchen staff as we entered the restaurant (bit of a strange setup as the kitchen also acts as reception), the staff were friendly and welcoming.Drinks came quickly and there was a good selection of wines and ale on offer. We had the Sunday lunch menu and I had 3 courses. The food menu was perfect, plenty of selection but not too many to choose from. We choose the salmon mouse for starter, turkey for main and cheesecake for pudding. The food was lovely and portion size just perfect for me.Plenty of space in the restaurant to move around and beautiful views over the Avon (unfortunately no photo due to it raining). The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because there was only 1 ladies loo and it needed a little bit of a makeover, by the end of the meal there was a bit of a queue for the loo. Also parking is slightly limited, in comparison to the generous car park at ‘The Frog’ next door which was basically empty!! But Bidford-on-Avon is a lovely place to wander round so you can park over the bridge and walk across.Would recommend and re-visit 😊
