Their fixed price lunch menu won my vote over the other nearby restaurants offering similar ideas. Wasn't disappointed nice inside either ... immediately very welcoming and excellent service.

I visited on Friday afternoon with 2 friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience there. We had the 3 course set menu for ÂŁ23 and all courses were extremely tasty. The Moroccan lamb meatballs were amazing and equally tasty was the Coq Au Vin with mash potato. As for the Marbled chocolate mousse cake - totally scrummy. The house white wine at ÂŁ19.95 was also very decent. The service there was just right - attentive but not pushy or over the top.I can highly recommend this place if you want excellent food at a very reasonable price. Let's face it a lot of pub/ restaurants charge around ÂŁ14-ÂŁ15 just for a burger and fries so in comparison this is just the ticket. Give it a go when next in Stratford upon Avon!

Excellent staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Menu was full of choice, I was struggling which dish to choose as such a great menu, spoilt for choice. Food arrived at a table, so hot and freshly cooked. Best restaurant we have dined in for a long time. Fantastic service, gorgeous tasty food and great ambience. Can only rate this restaurant top marks could not fault any areas, spotlessly clean too. Well done, keep up the fantastic work. Will be back! Lesley & Pete Tansley

Absolutely excellent. Exceeded our expectations. The service, the food & the location were perfect. We called in by chance for a light lunch on Valentine's Day. The food is so tasty. I had carrot & artichoke soup & cheese croquettes with saffron aioli. My husband had a chicken dish. We both had tea. Every aspect of the experience was excellent. I would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again to try the rest of the lovely looking menu.

Great wine selection by the glass or bottle. Visited twice; once for a drink and the second time for a meal. Food impeccably cooked. Service friendly and helpful. I had the lam shank and my partner had the Sunday roast. There was much more we could have eaten off of the menu.

Wonderful food, great choice as well. The staff are lovely. Beautiful setting. Just remember if you pre-book and have difficulty using stairs you need to point that out. We had visiting family who weren't aware of an upstairs and one member of the family really struggled.

A bit overpriced for the quality. Starter of pork salad was good but bread for the table was on verge of stale and obviously bought in. If you do sell bought in breads, how hard is it to source a nice sourdough baguette for that price? Or as a chef to know that if bread is on verge of stale, liberally spray with water and put in oven for 5-7 mins. My main course burger was tough AF and dry. No one asked how I wanted it done, it just came well done. My guess would be it was frozen meat, so they cooked it well done in case of food poisoning but the freezing also contributes to why it was so tough and dry (just me trying to rationalise why). Desserts were good but may have been bought in too, unless they’re making their own ice cream and chocolate marble cakes; I doubt it. Service was friendly and professional but also a bit slow. We were there 3 hours in total. Food came promptly but took ages to clear table going into last course. In summary some things good, some bad: seems pot luck as some menu items are just much better than others in terms of quality… chefs seem ok but perhaps cutting corners with sourcing quality ingredients and using fresh items. Nice Location and ambience though

A fabulous restaurant. We were served by a lovely waitress called Matti. The service was excellent, prompt yet relaxed, so you don't feel under pressure to choose your courses of choice immediately. The food was excellent & the menu offered certainly offers superb value for money. Would definitely return.

Visited for an unplanned lunch with family and excellent food and service. Lovely decoration/old feel inside. Food very nice. I also visited solo the next day for just a couple of drinks and they do a nice lemon spritz. Lady on her 2nd/3rd shift very friendly.

The Vintner is my favourite restaurant in Stratford-upon-Avon. I visit only twice a year and will always book in to eat. I had a slight disappointment after my visit a few days ago. I came up in aid of a late birthday treat. Requested the upstairs window table two weeks in advance. To turn up and other people had not long been seated. Having said that. Our meal was great. Food always lives up to a standard. Our server was upbeat and very friendly. I will always come back whenever I visit.
