The Chequers Inn in Stratford-on-Avon

Disappointing having to even leave less than 5 stars, the venue is lovely and the staff were very friendly and inviting. However, after waiting for an extended length of time without being served our food or offered another drink inquired to be informed the order had not been placed. We paid for our drinks and left. Maybe an up to date electronic ordering system could have avoided this, I now have one hangry partner.

Visited with the family, lovely place. The staff are incredibly friendly.Free parking.Great menu, have a lovely kids menu too.Indoor and outdoor sitting available.

We were not planning to stop on a day out, so we had no booking, thay accommodated us, we had pizza, chicken sandwiches and fish sandwiches and it was all delicious, service was great and the staff friendly, we will be returning next time we are passing through.

Just had a fabulous Sunday lunch at The Chequers. We were served by really cheerful and friendly staff. The food is freshly cooked and hot. The servings are very generous.

Stopped on the off chance, was very busy. Got seated pretty much straight away in the bar area. Food was lovely.. piping hot and delicious

Wow- it was so busy when we arrived for Friday night dinner in the bar area but it was worth it. We were welcomed when we arrived and during the whole night- looked after by Rachel who was really great. It is lovely to have such a good attentive member of staff who made sure we had everything we needed, top ups on drinks if required and meals brought to us with perfect timing.Delicious food, well presented and good size portions if you have a hearty appetite!Highly recommend!

Excellent Sunday Lunch. Food came quickly and beef was nice and tender.

Fabulous pub with lovely decor. Service fast, friendly and professional and food is first rate. We loved it and will definitely return - wish this was my local!

We stopped at The Chequers for the first time today and had a lovely Sunday roast. We did not book and decided to sit in the garden; as soon as we arrived a very attentive member of staff offered to get us drinks and food menus and came back to take our order at the table. The food was lovely too: great beef and chicken roasts. We will be back next time We are in the area. 🙂

We visited the chequers inn today, the place is situated on the main road and parking is free. The bar and restaurant have ample space and the tables were well set out. The staff were just brilliant, we order food and when it arrived it was freshly cooked and totally delicious. None of the food tasted processed it’s was all of high quality and very reasonably priced. There was a huge range of largers, IPA’s and soft drinks. I can’t rave about this place enough it’s a perfect go see if your in the area. Just the perfect place in our view.
