The Cottage of Content in Stratford-on-Avon

Good place but on Saturday Afternoon the outside bar was closed, everyone is crammed indoors breathing in each others' viruses (not just covid) queueing for beer at a tiny bar with only 2 staff... on a hot sunny day.

Great pub with camping. However the camping facilities let's it down as they aren't cleaned daily and are really dirty and should be only available to the campersHaving said that, that is also down to the campers who don't consider other users, as for the washing machine, you wouldn't wash a dog blanket in itPerhaps a few signs reminding visitors to leave the facilities in the way they'd like to find them might help.I give the pub 5 stars because it's a great atmosphere and very welcoming but the camping facilities 0, sorry

A lovely countryside location which we all enjoyed but with awful facilities. There was no hand soap for the duration of our groups’ stay which is bad enough in usual times never mind post-covid. No paper hand towels or dryers either. The loo roll was frequently out with feedback from the owner to more than one camping guest that we were ‘using too much’. One roll at a time was given to cater for easily 100 guests that weekend. Once the pub was locked there was no chance of loo roll replacement and we went to buy our own. Facilities block consists of one loo and one shower for ladies and the same for gents. Hot taps not working in the wash-up area. Pub was only open for lunch service for most of the bank hols weekend. Could be absolutely lovely but needs a lot of love!

Lovely country pub, great beer, cosy ye olde atmosphere. Good pub food as well The Beer garden as such could do with a spruce up though.

A cosy little pub with a lovely open fire Friendly locals made it a great place to visit. Unfortunately the pub dies not do food or I would have spent many more evenings there

Staff are lovely, the cottage is a beautiful place, with a good range of drinks, and the free fireworks display on bonfire nights was easily the best free display I've ever been to (and better than some that I've paid to go to). It's a great place to stop on a countryside walk and I will be returning often!

Been many times , always a pleasure. Last time was a wedding party in the rear garden/ camping field and all went great.

The Cottage is slightly misleading insofar as it looks okay from the front and the village location is stunning. First impressions can deceive as you'll realise if you venture beyond. They've made next to no effort with the asthetics and the main garden area round the back looks like a shanty town stocked by furniture discarded by a house clearance company. The open dustbins encourage the wasps and the planters and kids play area are disintegrating from age and lack of maintenance.

Brilliant campsite in a greatocation near the river and Bidford. The shower block is well equipped and clean. The food is very good, we had both lunch and dinner. The service and friendly welcome is first class. This pub and campsite are highly recommended.

I've been a vegetarian for almost 40 years & this place is one of the best I've been to by along way! The 3 course Sunday dinner for £17.50 is unbelievable value. My wife, who is not veggie, had beef & was equally pleased. Fantastic real ales to round the experience off. Friendly staff who were very welcoming, made it a wonderful afternoon out. Although we live 30 minutes away, this will become a regular place to visit.
