The Crown in Stratford-on-Avon

Mark, the landlord, is a great guy. He answers emails really quickly. Dog friendly. We booked the back room as there were 12 of us which ended up being 17 but it didn't bother him. He calmly sorted it. Food great. Service from waitress/ waiter excellent. Just right balance of friendliness & respect. Good children's play area outside. Parking though is pay & display. Be aware of that.

Crown pub is nice quite expensive for drinks ,it has s a restaurant food lovely, WiFi not working when we visited, just found there were to many dogs allowed inside had to get between dogs to get to the bar..

Nice pub clean pleasant staff , didn't have a meal but a few were eating 👌

Excellent friendly staff and management. Great beer and 10/10 lunch at a reasonable price.

It's not the 1st time we have visited or eaten at the crown, but lunch today was exceptional. Mark the manager and Chris the chef were amazing, both taking time to chat and make the experience fantastic.The Smoked Mackerel pate was divine and my steak was cooked to perfection (unlike another local pub, who shall remain nameless), and the chips were gorgeous, obviously cooked in clean oil.A wonderful afternoon, thank you

What a stunning surprise from this gorgeous pub. We live in Stratford and my husband is a steak lover. I dread him ordering it tbh. But!!!! Huxzah’ chef Chris and manager Mark had it covered. Mark’s Smoked Mackerel pâté was absolutely superb. He then, boldly told us that the steak would be excellent. Brave words. Oh my! Utter perfection. Chef Chris even came out to talk to us. I ordered the ultimate nachos. We took them home for dinner because the steak and perfect chips with pepper sauce were enough for us both. Oh, the HPA beer was delicious too. Forgot Stratford upon Avon town. Come here.

The Chef and his team on Sundays need to be complimented on the superb sunday lunches. Great presentation , selection and taste.Mark and his staff gave us 5☆☆☆☆☆ table service and it was an absolute pleasure to be there.

Brilliant little family pub! The food and drink selection is great, I would highly reccomend the Ploughman's. The only drawback is that the drinks are a little expensive. I suppose that is to be expected being in Stratford-upon-Avon.

I was looking forward to eating here having read reviews. The bar area was busy but we made our way to the restaurant. My husband asked whether the restaurant was open and got a very clipped yes. The worker taking our order was quite rude. We asked for warmest place to sit liking round the restaurant. She answered in a very unfriendly manner "the bar" I said it was very busy so we would just sit down.Our food was salty and mediocre to say the least. I cannot eat gluten so had a Crown burger without the bap and very over salted fries. Very disappointing for a celebration meal what staying nearby. My husband's fish and chips were similar quality. Overall a very negative experience.
