It was a very pleasant surprise having never been to the pub before in that the food we had was very good

·

Excellent fixed price lunch served and good value. Service attentive but not overbearing. Fully recommendable establishment for dining. Its only drawback being somewhat restricted parking space in village especially at busy times.

·

Great food, all staff were lovely and conversational, cracking price as well! Definitely recommend.

·

A Great place & staff. An ideal treat for lunch if you're in the area or passing near by.

Stopping in Stratford and some how came across this little gem when looking for somewhere to eat. Can highly reccomend, very friendly staff and customers alike.. The food was delicious, with a lovely selection of excellent home cooked, high quality food. Could not fault our visit in anyway and would highly recommend.

Lunch today for four was very pleasant experience. Great welcome, lovely decor, warm fire and great short lunch menu to go along with main offering. The food was very good, the cider sauce with pork cheeks brilliant. Literally stuck pin in the map and one of my best finds for 2021. Only downside was portions were a little small but ok for lunch. Definitely return.

Excellent food, great staff and lovely atmosphere. Perfect.

·

Delicious food cooked to order so don't expect to be in and out in half an hour. Excellent friendly staff. We would be regulars if we didn't live so far away.

·

Lovely food, lovely service, we went in at lunchtime and sat outside. So peaceful.

We chanced upon this pub travelling from Stratford. Saw the sign to it on the Wellesbourne Rd and glad we did.Great service from the attentive staff. Good booze and absolutely fabulous food. The roast beef and lamb Sunday roasts were just perfect. At £20 for two courses (we had desserts - also excellent) it might not be the cheapest but it was definitely worth the money. I've paid more for poorer food. Recommended 100%.Loved the anagram over the bar too.
