The Kings Head - Vintage Inns in Stratford-on-Avon

Service at the bar is always slow. One of the bar staff may be the manager? Young male , black hair , black earring particularly less than welcoming. Customers are a hinderance rather than welcome and following a visit on Sunday will be thinking twice about visiting for a good while.

Food was great, service 10/10. Maisie made us feel at home and had great knowledge of the menu. Would definitely come again! Sean and Przemek were great too!

We stumbled across this pub today and went in for food and I am glad we did. We had a 3 course meal as a family of 3 and the food and staff were amazing, we were served by Dan who was welcoming and friendly from the minute we went in to the minute we left.There was a little bit of a wait for our main meal but was to be expected because of how busy it was in the bar area.I would definitely recommend, we will be back

Called in late this afternoon to a lovely welcome with dog treats and fresh water by the door. There was no room in the restaurant, however we were shown where we could sit in the top bar area. Had Sunday roasts which were delicious. Would recommend

Have stayed here a couple of times in recent months. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Access is via quite a steep staircase. Evening restaurant menu and food is good although breakfast is limited. No cereals or coffee choices just porridge and filter coffee.Note limited disabled parking that is often taken by non disabled visiting diners or guests.Staff are all very welcoming and helpful giving the King's Head a pleasing atmosphere.

Lovely food. I spoke to a waiter who was on his break. I simply asked 'what would be good for someone with food tolerances" he replied "to keep it light and not heavy try the roast turkey" I did it was lovely very succulent

Miserable service, woman who 'welcomed us to the pub' clearly hates her job and people. Wait for food was ridiculously long considering there was hardly anyone there when we arrived and ordered. Food was quite good, although I had only 8 chips with my meal. Cutlery was not even brought over until 5 minutes after we received our food and they also forgot some of my child's meal. Don't think I'll be going back soon, not worth the money at all.

Food was nice and service was ok. It was a Saturday night so that was taken into consideration. We were seated next to a table of 12 ladies in a small enclosed part of the pub and they were having a good time and were loud at times but when they were loud it was deafening and could hardly hear my partner. The table behind us kept looking at them. It made it difficult to enjoy our time to the fullest. But the food was nice and the service was ok.

Service was good but another pub that seems overstretched staff wise both front and back of house which was hugely reflected in the wait times.This being said we appreciate you fitting us in. Good choice of food on the menu which was very nice when it arrived.Friendly staff and presentable establishment. Thank you to Kayleigh for looking after our table.

We came to visit some family and decided on their local pub for a bite to eat. The service from our waitress Sadie was amazing along with the food which I was told the food was prepared by Sean and Shemak (not sure of the spelling, apologies. We were amazing by everything from the atmosphere to the food, the service to the time it took to get our drinks to arrive was almost immediate. Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family.
